510- Doesn't work
901 auto- it'll work but the draw is really really really hard

and yes i realize the video wasn't very enthuastic but after working a 12 hour night shift i'm usually wrecked, but i said i'd get back to you with an answer so i did.

You missed a really out :). I didn't think it was even possible but I just tried with a 901 battery after seeing the video and had to suck incredibly hard, there's no air flow basically, what I did get was probably coming up from the led end of the battery or minute gaps between the battery and cartomizer. I got cartomizers working pefectly with a 901 passthrough (would work the same with a battery) by drilling a hole into the cartomizer. The DVP9 batteries have holes in the thread which supplies their air flow. The batteries however work perfectly with 901 atomizers, a pretty well known fact I suspect.

Hey man I was thinking about making air holes on the carts but I was dumb enough to take a knife to it and I cut my finger, no idea why I did that though. And yes I suspect that airflow is the reason it will work with the 901 manual battery but not with the regular. If you do end drilling some holes or making holes on the carts please post pics. I'd love to see where to make the holes without drilling a hole in my finger. (i'm very clumsy with tools)

The 901 attomizer has a small hole in the side of it near where it connects to the battery. I'd think that putting a small hole on the side of the cartomizer near where the threads should work as long as it's in front of the heating element. If it were made out of plastic the easy way would be to heat a paperclip with a lighter and poke that through the plastic. A small paperclip would be about the right size.

The cartomizers are made out of metal so you'd need a drill.

I know. It would be more trouble than it's worth. What might work though it to make a adapter. Simply take a dead 901 attomizer, cut it down short, just long enough to put the threaded connectors on each end with a hole in the middle. It should only be a few mm long and work just fine. You'd have to solder the wires to connect the ends but it shouldn't be too difficult. If your into doing mods, it's be a simple, fun project.

I just got the PCC from eastmall and I think it might have a problem. Thought I'd run it by here before I contact Ed.

The light showing the PCC is charging turns from red to green as it should.

The problem is that the light for the e-cig battery stays red no matter how long it's on the PCC or if the PCC is pluged into the USB or not. Shouldn't the e-cig battery light either turn off or turn green or something to indicate the e-cig battery is charged or am I missing something? I'm not convinced that I'm getting proper charging of the e-cig battery this way.

Also, didn't I notice in the video that the light should turn off when you lift the battery up?

What I noticed is that battery will go off and then when I grab the thing and move it around the red battery flashes. But other then that I'm of no help to you so you'd be best of contacting Ed, sorry I'm of no help. But I can say this I took my dpv9 and 6 carts to my gf's last week, i was away from home for 4 days, and I only had to charge the pcc case twice, and thats is all I needed.

Lifting the battery up shouldn't make any difference, the connection is still made. When a battery is fully charged my battery side led flickers about once every five seconds.

i read this thread awhile ago & can't recall if it was mentioned...i can't read 8 pages all over again...u said a cart lasted about 3-3 1/2 hours of decent vaping...cart supposedly holds about 1.1ml of juice, so 1 cart of 18mg would almost be a pack of analogs, but seems vaping is much diff. than smoking, so how many analogs would u say 1 cart is? of course it varies, so i'm just asking for a general estimate and/or range...

UPDATE: also, are the batteries sealed

They aren't sealed. I'd guess 12-14 .... logs but I haven't vaped a DPV9 yet. Mine should be here tomorrow or the next day. Damn customs.

hmmm, worried about the unsealed batts, but i guess crash said this model is great with avoiding leaks...wish they had more flavors or blank cartomizers too, but i guess that'll show up sometime later...hey crash, u mentioned the 901 auto batts are impossible to inhale with the cartomizers, how about with the 901 manual batts, any better or just the same? my only big problem at the moment with dpv9 is no manual batts...

PS. crash, u have any input on how many .... logs are generally in a dpv9 cart? or jboze, plz update when u get ur kit

Well I'd say about 15 or so if you smoke it like a regular cig, but i always used to smoke like a cig n a half when I smoked so maybe about 10 cigs for me. An yea you can inhale with the 901 manual batteries but the air that coming into them is from the top of the battery where the led is, yea sure it works, but you don't really get the same experience u would with the dpv9 battery.
