Here's the FIRST PART:
"All right, let's switch to, uh, cigarettes here.
FDA has been STOPPED from blocking importation of e-cigarettes. A federal judge said the FDA cannot stop shipments of electronic cigarettes.
It's complicated from the point of view of the law but I'm not so sure why we're such tight-butts about electronic cigarettes.
It's ok to buy cigarettes and kill yourself, but here's a product would be very unlikely you could harm yourself and might get people to quit smoking, and everybody gets up in arms. It's kind of like when we came out nicotine..in patch and pill..and they wanted it to be available only by prescription.
Mind you, you know, if you're tall enough to reach the counter you can walk into any store in America and buy cigarettes. And if you wanted to buy a nicotine product the Fed's wanted you to have a prescription which would make
sure not a lot of you would have access to it.
And, basically, the lawsuit was successful by claiming that this IS a cigarette. It's a stick, you put it in your mouth, and it gives you nicotine.
So why is that different from a cigarette? And why do we have special and different rules for it? I, um, well we'll see if there is an impact. Most of these (e) cigarettes come from China and there are some health questions about it, but boy if you're a smoker and anything can help you, am I really gonna, you know, make a big deal about it?"
