Drat! NJoy Atomizer Went Kaput!

When I mentioned to njoy that I was a experiencing a odd smell/taste from njoy pen-style, Mark sent me a new atomizer without me even asking for one.

So I've been using the new atomizer they sent me, which is one of the newer style atomizers. It's been working great, but of course, just after I mailed off my old (still working) atomizer, the new one goes out.

I was happily puffing away when the battery started flashing. I waited for it to calm down and then tried to resume puffing, but the atomizer wasn't producing any vapor at all. So I went to get my back up (fully-charged) battery, but that made no difference at all.

Since you started posting about your foul tasteing atomizer, my own NJoy atomizer has been tasting bad. Sort of a wet pipe taste. Blech.

Man, sorry to hear about that. I always keep the old one at least a few days, to make sure the new one works. Hindsight's a ....., huh? Sounds like that was your only e-cig? That sucks. I'm sure Mark will get a new one out to you quick, but I sure feel for you in the meantime.

I hope you have a backup until Mark gets you another one. That is my biggest fear - all my e-cigs stop working at the same time...

i might get boring with this but i am trying to find out the design life of an atomizer.. how many puffs per atomizer so to speak..

base it on 300 puffs per cart.. so how many puffs per atomizer is some thing i think we need to know.. so far all the evidence tends to suggest these things dont last long..

4 months and still going strong for the atomizer I am sipping on right now. And I sip áll day long, from 2 of those atomizers (one is newer, 'only' about 2 months now); so each of those easily for 8 hours a day

Uncle, really hope you do have another backup there... it really sucks when you don't

sounds good.. but i am not quite sure what "sipping" means.. does it equate with good long smoke producing draws or is it more of a placebo little smoke production mouthing action.. ???

more oral fixation stuff than real "smoking".. i ask cos i think its relevant.. "sipping" is what i associate with tea..

or to put it another way do u think your way of using an e cig would cause an atomizer to last longer than say a thirty a day heavy smoker needing long hard draws to feed their habit..

Well, don't know whatthe exact answer is you are looking for Trog... I don't have a 'breathmeter' or something... but would it help if I tell you I used to smoke 2 to sometimes 3 packs a day? (And that the way I am e-smoking keeps me perfectly happy)?
Otherwise then that, all I can say is 'it's a combination... some draws will be real deep... some will indeed be just some 'sipping', so shallow draws, inbetween... Another thing I could say: it has surprised me, when I started to get to know e-smoking, that people apparantly finished their real cigs in just 15 draws... I counted mine before going all e-cig.. and I mostly took around 30 draws from a 'real' cig before it was gone (so yes, guess that means I am a 'light' smoker... but still a 'lót' smoker too, didn't throw any away halfway finished, and smoking over the lungs )

DUDE! Always have a backup. Even if it's a little mini "bar-hopper" (as I call them). My Njoy atomizer hit skids too. I'm glad I had the backup! whew. I'd been in the corner cryin' like a baby too. Or buying a pack of cigarettes and I did NOT want to do that!

No, I have no back up device.

What hacks me off is that my original atomizer was still going great guns. The only reason I sent it back in is because it had a weird taste. Thing is, the weird taste had gone away by the time I got the new atomizer in the mail. I thought, "Hey, new atomizer...might as well send this old one back." Bah!

*Sigh* Oh well, I just came off of 6 months with no nicotine... I suppose I can make it a few days.

Mark apologized and said he'd put anew atomizer in the mail "immediately." I like that Mark... I bet he is (was) a smoker.

Well, after about 3.5 days I've received my new atomizer, and all is right in the world once more.

My first atomizer was the original type. The next atomizer was the new type, with more of the ceramic visible. This newest one is another one of the old types. So I wonder if they've genuinely switched to a new type of atomizer or if the different ones are just from two different batches of atomizers from the manufacturer...

looking at the price of their carts they should give u a free one very time u buy ten.. if i have my figures right u are paying 5000 dollars for a litre of e liquid in little plastic containers..

my mind boggles at the sheer audacity even if no one elses does..

That's why I refill their carts. $25 for a 5 pack is absolutely outrageous.

well,like ive said before,they gotta fund the unbelievable number of replacement parts they have to send out somehow...as if the markup on the actual devices wasnt enough...and everyone keeps going on about excellent customer service-well youve all paid for it already,so its hardly surprising they wanna keep you sweet.its quite funny.

Good customer service is better than no customer service at all. (and some of us have experienced that pain.) CS is all we got right now. But you can get great customer service from Meltrex and Crown7 (who's devices are less expensive)...and their carts are HALF the price! So yeah, I'm gonna gripe.

I've never purchased cartridges from NJoy and I don't plan to, unless they're the first company to tell me that their cartridges are made of pure rainbows and unicorn giggles (i.e., not anything dangerous).

I like Crown 7's carts, but they don't quite fit the NJoy. Meltrex's carts fit the NJoy quite well, but something about the liquid in them doesn't play nice with my throat (this problem is isolated to me). If anyone knows of other companies' carts that fit the NJoy, I wouldn't mind a heads up.
