I found vaping, instead of smoking, while drinking to be a craveless transition.

Part of the fun of vaping is discovering e-liquid flavors what are actually synergistic with various drinks. For instance, Mt. Baker Vapor's Lightning is wonderfully synergistic with inexpensive Ports, like Graham's Five-Grape Ruby. Just about any Key-lime-plus-menthol mixture (for instance, MadVapes' Key Lime Freeze) is marvellous with a good, single-barrel sipping rum. A straight lime flavor goes well with mass-market beer. And so it goes . . .

Various food-plus-drinks-plus-e-liquid flavors also produce fabulous synergies. I have a killer, Cincinnati-style, chili recipe. The chili, plus a good hoppy beer (like several Sam Adams or Goose Island varieties), plus Mt. Baker Vapor's White Out, are magnificent together. My wife looks at me like I'm crazy when I down chili, wash it down with beer and madly chain-vape, all at the same time. I'm in seventh heaven.

I do tend to chain-vape (even more than usual) when drinking. But since I backed off on the Vitamin N concentration, I don't get overdose symptoms no matter how hard I vape.

I found that after a few weeks vaping the smell of smoke really horrible. This is from someone who smoked for over 20 years... So as far as drinking or any other activity that used to warrant a cigarette I now just vape with no regrets. I have found though I like some of the sweet vapes with tequila, nutty ones with Scotch, and tobacco's with beer. Just my tastes so far and they change all the time so take from this what you will. :toast:

I bump up the voltage on my Provari to account for the alcohol numbing my taste buds. I was a little concerned about drinking and smoking at first and didnt go out for a couple of months but I havent had any issues thankfully.

This last time I wasnt even tempted to try one and was pretty hammered so I guess thats a good thing.

It's funny, beceause I've been analog free for about four weeks now, and drinking has been the historical breakdown point for me. I quit cold turkish for two years but inevitably I was out with friends and everyone ... and eventually me were all burning... Anyway, since I've started vaping I have not really looked back. The thought has crossed my mind at times --- kind of like; oh I'm at a stop light - time to light up. Honestly it has been almost a seamless switch.

I like what @zapped said. I think when I drink I need more throat hit/vapor --- I do feel a need at some point to compensate for those things that had enslaved me for so long.... maybe I just want to out do them without dying...

I have only tried three different liquid makers, and I know I need to branch out. It's difficult with so many options and not really knowing where to buy samples. I think I found three things I like so far and out of those maybe one that I really like... still chasing the ultimate vape...

I just switched from analogs two days ago and I am having this exact problem. Especially when I see my friends with the cancer sticks. I had a chat with my friends about my newly found lease on life, and I convinced two to switch over! Having supportive people around definitely helps me. And I find that vaping around bars (Smoking is a no no in AZ) is a lot more acceptable. And I have a juice with a higher nic content for when I'm out drinking! The extra throat hit discourages me from lighting up an analog!

Great suggestions! I'm currently at 18(1.8%) - When I'm out with friends, I don't mind sharing but I also don't really feel like evangelizing (which I'm quite good at if I do say so myself) --- I really need to keep myself in check when drinking because alchohol totally does loosen my resolve. The county I'm in still allows analogs in bars/casinos and I have become more sensitive to the smell. I don't like it now at all, but God forbid --- I will never be that cliche reformed smoker! no way!
