Ok, I'm a newb - but I have seen these mentioned several different times, and I'm thinking..... hmmmmm. ....... do I need/want one of these. I was browsing LiteCigUSA and saw drip tips, but I can't figure out from the description how it works???

My husband and I are using KR808D-1 batteries and 808 cartomizers. Does the drip tip somehow replace the cartomizer? or does it fit over the cartomizer???

Help please.

Yeah, it replaces the cartomizer and you drip directly onto the atomizer through the hole in the top of the drip tip. If you only have cartomizers you'll have to invest in some regular atomizers. The drip tip acts as the mouthpiece to the atomizer. It just makes dripping easier as you don't have to remove the mouthpiece every time you drip. Hope that helps.

I don't think there are atomizers for the KR808d-1, I think those are built to use cartomizers (integrated atomizer) but I think that it's possible to get an adapter to make them compatible with other atomizers. Not sure on that though. Someone more familiar with the KR808 should chime in soon.

The DSE901 atomizer fits KR808d-1 batteries without an adaptor. Some people use a drip tip on KR8 cartos to make it easier to top off their cartos without having to pry caps off.

Thank you Aine - yes it does answer my question. The atomizer......that was the missing piece of the puzzle. Hmmmm, I don't know if there are atomizers for the KE808D-1. I'll have to do some research. Thank you again!

Oh - ok, So what I'm understanding is: I would get the appropriate atomizer, then screw on the cartomizer, then add the drip tip to that? Wow - that would really add alot of length to the whole assemblage.

Do people generally like them and find them useful? or are they really not that much more advantageous?

close but not quite...
a cartomizer is a combined one piece CARTridge and atOMIZER

so it'd be battery, cartomizer, drip tip....
people pull the mouthpiece off the end of the cartomizer (and the inner oring if it has one) and replace that with the drip tip (it fits inside the carto on the end)... it makes keeping the carto topped off and full easier...

it's not a super huge advantage unless you're running your cartos on high voltage or a mod...in fact if you primarily use the condom fill method to refil your cartos it's a disadvantage because you can't do that anymore...
they were made primarily for atty users to drip right onto their atties....but carto users found that they could be used to drip into a carto to keep it wet at all times (expecially when running them at higher heats)
