Hey Gang, just ordered some drip tips for my volt. Im wondering how they work, can they be used on auto battery's? Got some blank cartos coming as well. I ordered them for an 808 cuz i think that's what volts are correct? Thanks for your input...

What's your experience w/ drip tips?

Also, when do you know that it's time to throw away your carto? I'd imagine when they taste burnt. My first time i smoked one way too long and my mouth and gums got major inflamed...

Don't use the drip tips with ur auto volt, you will leak into the batt and burn it out. Only use on manuals. With the carto's u can wash them in boiling water. Works like a charm..15 minutes in the stove and ur good to go. Make sure to thoroughly dry them out! I have some old boge's from way back in May that I am still using. I swear I have refilled and cleaned them well over a dozen times each. You are totally gonna love your volt! I have been vaping off mine all week up here in the Rockies on my vacation. Seriously, the best little ecig device on the market.

For the drip tip, they are just for look and feel on the volt/bloog cartos, I picked up some rubber ones because it's easier to hang out of your mouth, but I wouldn't try and drip through it while it's on the battery, I always take it off.

As for when the carto needs to be thrown out; I find if I'm using a clear liquid that I can refill it many more times than a dark liquid, but if the taste seems off, or the throat hit is too harsh, I throw them out and start again. I'm using a clear liquid right now, and I've been using it since last Friday and it's still going strong, but I've thrown some cartos out after a day or two.

I mainly use drip tips as mouth pieces I almost never do any dripping . If you have ever over filled a carto a bit and had fluid get into your mouth then a drip tip may prevent that a bit or enough for you to blow some of the juice out of the carto before it gets into your mouth . With cartos with condoms I just chuck the white top from the carto and put the condom on . When I use that carto I put the drip tip on to use it .

From what I have read about Drip tips

1 used for dripping straight onto an atty of a Ego (or other easy drip e-cigs), easy to switch flavors

2 when used with cartomizers, like you have, easier to refill, by just taking off the drip tip, then taking out the plastic caps on the cartomizer

3 ease of holding the e-cig in your mouth then just on a cartomizer, form is contoured to fit your lips better then the cylinder shape of the cartomizer

4 the draw is better then using a normal cartomizer, look at the hole diameters from your driptip to the white plastic end of a cartomizer

5 they just look bad ..., and adds flare to your carto

Anyone else boiled their Cartomisers like this?

Also, is it cool to get ejuice in the small barrel in the middle?

If you search ecf or youtube u will find tons of threads and vids on how to boil them. Been doing it for months. Works great! Do not put juice in the middle only in the filler surrounding that middle barrel. Otherwise it will leak out the bottom.

I use to just put hot water in a coffee cup with a few cartos and kinda stir it for a bit, do that a couple times. then soak them in alcohol followed by another round of hot water.
Thats what i use to do, now i just pitch them when im done, at a buck a carto its not worth the effort
Agree! I use to boil mine, and it works well. But WAY more effort than I'd like to exert. I've stocked up so I'm good for half a year or so.
