Dang, gonna be a detailed schematic and Gerber files before I even get mine?!
Yep, I'm gonna send all that off to China, get it cloned for dirt cheap, and flood the market with squonkers.

Oh wait...

What board does it have in it? Its supposed to be a mechanical device, not regulated... Are you talking about the mofset, (possibly), that is used for the switch?
There's a circuit board in it: it has reverse battery and low battery protection. It also seems to regulate the voltage down to 3.7v for a fresh battery, and then the voltage falls off from there once the battery is below 3.7v. This is conjecture based on PBusardo's voltage measurements in his review and Kanger's claim of max 60w with their .2ohm coils. If the board fails it might be easy to to remove it and make it a straight wired mechanical.Or not...
I like the idea, it should give a more consistent vape for a longer period of time than a straight mechanical and probably longer battery life.

No, it does not regulate as can be seen in PB's video. Note the voltages when higher resistance coils are used. Battery sag and voltage drop in the mod are the reason for the voltage at .2 ohms.

Ah! I need to pay more attention to detail! I had no idea there was that much sag at .2ohms. I probably won't use the provided atty and coils anyway. The size of the atty kind of ruins the small form factor, a stumpy or derringer at around .5ohms will work nicely for me.

I broke down and ordered one from MyVaporStore which should be here Saturday. FastTech is looking like pre-order status is going to be awhile.

Mine came in three days. While my main squeeze is an LP Grand.... I was fascinated with the little guy. So far....it's dang good! Best $35.00 I've made in a long time. Just for fun, I adjusted my Derringer BF and stuck it on the little box. Works even better than the stock atty IMHO. Have a .8 ohm build single coil in it. I'll try the RM2 later, but as far as I can see, they have a winner with nowhere but up to go if they listen to us out here.

Vapemail from MVS came a day early. Peko_DripMod.jpg
Compact mod for sure, definitely a bit smaller than my Peko, but a bit heavier. I tried the provided atty, but the wide bore drip tip and .2ohm coils were a bit over the top for me, not to mention the size of the thing. It's pretty sweet with a BF modded derringer. That's a Stumpy on the Peko, so the height comparison is a bit misleading, but you can still see the Kanger is shorter. It's a wee bit thinner as well.

It's a winner as far as I'm concerned: a third the cost of the Peko kit, without the painting and assembly, but with that wonderful form factor.

Mass-production in China can make that happen. I respect Kanger though because they don't outright clone anything. It seems like they actually looked at the market for these devices and engineered something from the ground up.

Ok so, I picked up my kanger dripbox today from my local vape shop, the owner was holding it for me and apparently was the only one since they had to pull it and wasn't allowed to sell it yet for reasons unknown, I didn't ask. Anywho, for 35$ I honestly can't complain. I've tried all 3 of my BF rda's on it, pancake, narda, and the hobo 3.1 and they all squonk just fine. I also used different pg/vg ratios and I don't see the plunger on the bottom being a problem, it takes a tiny bit more force then my mokooo mod but it's not crippling or a hassle by any means. Now mind you I haven't used the included rda but I'd assume that's when the plunger and amount of holes on the bottom of the rda comes into a problem. I mostly wanted to post to say yes BF rda's work and work well! Now I haven't been using for a long period of time either so I obviously haven't ran into any problems so far. Right now I'm using my NarDA with a single coil, 26g 7 wraps around a 7/64 bit ohms out to around a .90 and it ramps right up. Reading the included book apparently the button will flash if there's a short, or a too low of a build, something I haven't seen anyone mention the button does light up when pressed and vaping. Comes with the usual kanger stuff, little blue screwdriver, USB cable, extra bottle, extra coil for the rda, screws and little coils. The magnet bottom plate that keeps the squonk bottle in isn't as flimsy or loose as it seems, I tried shaking and everything and it stayed. But could pop off if not careful in the pocket, but the bottle is pretty sturdy and isn't going anywhere regardless, it's there too to also keep the mod level on your desk or what have you, without it it would be lopsided. The battery cover is also kinda neat, it unscrews to allow the battery in and out but the middle screws up to sure there's no battery rattle, I'd assume if there was a problem the least you could do is back the middle part out and it cuts the circuit, still doesn't make it any easier to get the battery out fully in case of failure. It's solid, it's small, comfortable in the hand, under 50 bucks, and a little beater squonk mod that fits nicely in the pocket. All in all I'm perfectly happy with my purchase and don't regret it one bit! Do I recommend it? Yes and no, yes because right now I love it, and no because I haven't fully spent hard time with it. If your any bit interested, I'd say go for it. I'm sure everyone in here has spent way more on a piece of gear and been disappointed, this won't dent your wallet in case of a let down. Feel free to ask any questions you've been wanting to know and I'll be happy to answer to the best of my knowledge. Cheers!

My little Storm Trooper has arrived! I was really concerned watching some of the YouTube videos showing how much pressure was required to squonk using the stock atty, but mine requires very little pressure on the bottle to get the juice into the atty. Maybe they changed something from the beta samples. Can't wait to use one of my own bf atties on it. The stock atty is actually quite nice though. Great investment for the money in my opinion.
