Well got one Hastur v2 from Cthulhu mods and seems to be working ok.
Still kinda wish I had one for single coil, duals are imo better suited for regulated mods.
With mechanical I max my coil ID at 2.5mm. For me, the ramp up time on anything larger using kanthal is too long. Usually 8 wraps. Works great single and double.

On my regulated I'll go larger.

Got home, Dripbox waiting.
Didn't feel like messing with the stock atty tonight, so I threw on a wet and ready BF Sapor, built with 0.4 SS duals.
Bottle system seems pretty functional - though first time, the plunger didn't follow the bottle down, but that self-corrected. Vape is pretty kickin - and I like that you can click to off.
The only things so far I don't love:
- Bottom bottle flap. It snaps on OK, but remains a little "clicky"
- For me, with a Sony in there, battery cover goes flat, but I had to give it "one more twist" beyond what I considered a good connection, otherwise it extended just a hair - enough so it had a slight wobble standing up. So I'm squeezing my battery to get a flat bottom...

I'll post again after trying the atty.
I'm pretty sure I'll have to rebuild it immediately - I've never enjoyed a vape under 0.4 ohms...
But heck - my preferred vape is a mech squonker - it's nice to have a $30 "beater" if nothing else!

I'm not crazy about the stock atty myself. The mod doesn't seem powerful enough to run dual 0.2,especially with only one 18650. Also the airflow is quite high compared to the Sapor, so the vape isn't as warm and flavorful as I had hoped. Another minus is you can't remove the chuff cap.

I really enjoy the Sapor, so my question is how well does the bf version work on this? I'm thinking of picking it up in the near future.

Right after I got the Sapor (BF'd from Roscoe) it got knocked off by a clone NarDa (BF'd from Catfish) - but for some reason, I'm really liking it on the DripBox. Maybe my build just had to settle in, or I got the AFC lined up better...I don't know, but it's running nicely with good flavor (all my fave atties tend to be slightly restricted draw and smaller chambers - from Nuppins to Mantas, etc). And yeah - I run it with a smaller driptip...

If you like it topfeed, I'm sure you'll like it bottomfeed!

I wish I could stop bragging on this little wonder but...I have not picked up my Reo LP Grand since it came last week. While I am not a big fan of the supplied atty, my Derringer and RM 2 work great. I much prefer the RM 2 as the Derringers are traditional leakers. I have a feeling that Kanger will see the input that this little guy is getting and move towards some upgrades. Is it perfect? Not at all. Has it failed me? Not once....
Now, I do prefer mechs, but I have a feeling there will be a regulated in the future. Like some others, I would like to see a hinged door for the tank. An speaking of the tank....while the connection seemed a little funky, this has not ever leaked. So...The Cranky Squonker is a fan...I an afraid that Russ will see this and beat me up. Since he's moved on to the very high end stuff, this one must look like a Pep Boys part to him. Miss you brother Russ...love your alter ego too!

Is Catfish BFing clones again? a send in?
He is doing a limited number of clones because of frustration with many suppliers. I don't think he would do clone send-ins. Check out his thread Catfish Atty Mods Chapter 3
Note, pay pal is not accepted for clone purchases.

Thanks, Yes I follow the thread closely.
Was just surprised Train had said Tom did a Narda clone.
I thought Rosscoe was doing the Narda.
Maybe he miss typed, or I am just confused...:vapor:

    YOU, sir, are CORRECT.
    It's Roscoe's NarDa, and it's awesome.
I am eagerly awaiting the M-atty from Catfish.
(two atties, I will note, that I would have probably bought authentic if they were available)

I gained a convert to squonking! A friend of mine was giving up on vaping due to his frustration with tanks, and the subtank in particular. Since I don't care for the supplied atty, I stuck it on one of my highly modified Terminators for him to give a try, since I figured it would be more his style. He loves it and has already ordered a kit.
    Squonk On!

Well, the Italian bottle burped and the feed tube farted bubbles again at the same liquid height as before. Took the HG2 battery out and noticed the positive end was concave. I did drop it and it landed square on the drip tip so that might have caused it.
My batteries (lg hg2) are concave on the positive end as well. Never dropped, only ever used in my CC as far as mechanical devices go. I don't consider myself a button smasher at all. Never a problem with my REOs.

I think it has to do with the CC...

Dear Kanger, why did you have to go Subtank AGAIN with this?
Like with the original Subtank Subdrip also has some major issues imo like for startes beign too big and having stupid airflow, but I'm hoping there's mini (1/3 smaller barrel with airflow to the coil) and nano (with single airflow coming in 19 mm size).
Also for us poor fools who bought the beta-version PLEASE provide us with cheap topcap with an option for single airhole, maybe EVEN doing it like Cthulhu Mods did their Hastur v2s topcap.
The Dripbox is a GREAT mod, all I could ask would be the button at the top for thumpin and a small dripwell for "just in case".
Oh, and could you also device an parallel box from the Dripbox by losing the bf-parts and adding another 18650?
Please make it parallel and keep the safety features, we don't need another Noisy Cricket to blow our faces up thank you.
Seriously loving the mod and drooling how great it would be as a parallel box.
    With top button for thumpin.

Just got mine this afternoon, the atty comes with it is much too warm a vape for me. It's great with my Vector Tapatalk
Funny, I actually find it not powerful enough. But then again I'm coming from a Sapor with a single parallel coil @ 0.18ohms. Battery life isn't very good on the dripbox running dual 0.2 coils. Might change it for higher ohms and just make it a middle poofer

I find the battery life to be more than acceptable with a .3 single coil build. I can get through the whole bottle with the battery being about 3.7v. That's IMO typical for an 18650 mod.
