Thanks for the Heads Up Alexander Mundy.
Mine has been working fine. But if I start to have any Problems, I will keep this post in Mind.
I wish I had Alexander Mundy around..I don't have the expertise or the tools to fix this damn Dripbox -and it's autofiring like crazy. Loosened up the inner battery ring and that seems to have worked, but I'm gonna start pulling the battery out of it when I go to bed or leave it at home.![]()
I don't need to tell you that a mod that Auto-Fires is Unsafe. And I would Strongly Advise that you do Not Use it until the issue is Fully Resolved.
Do you think it is the Power Button that is getting Physically Stuck? Does the Power Button light turn on when it Auto-Fires? Or do you think it is something else like the Wiring?
Maybe you know someone (doesn't have to be a Vaper) who is Handy with Tools that could take a look at it?
Train, I have two you can have. Send me a PMHad a bottle die - invisible, too: I kept thinking it was me, overfilling or oversquonking, but no - it was liquid coming right out the side of the bottle. Anyone find replacement bottles available yet?
If could be that some e-Liquid has gotten into the Button Actuator.
The Actuator is part of the Circuit Board. It is what the Button pushes onto to make the Board Fire. Or on a VV/VW Board, change the Wattage.
Here is a generic picture of a VV/VW Board.

Those 3 Brownish Domes in the 3 White Cubes are the Actuators. Under the Bownish Domes is a Very Tiny Spring. And it is the Spring pushes the Button back out when you release the Button.
There could be Gummy e-Liquid on/in the Actuator causing it to not Spring Back.
Does the Power Button feel Crisp and have a Click to it? Or is the Button kinda Mushy?
I'm way too chicken to even try and fix it, Zoidman. With my mechanical aptitude, I'd just make it worse. The firing button is complete mush - no click a'tall.
$31 down the drain - but I learned that I DO love squonkin'! (And not just the Genesis tune, either!)
Maybe I'll treat myself to a REO next month.
Seems like an awful lot for a $30 device...OK. So here's My Thinking.
If the Mod is Not Safe to be used as is, and you have excepted that it is Money Down the Drain, then that means "You Can't Break the Broken".
So instead of just chucking it, I would get some 91% Rubbing Alcohol at the Drug Store and after taking the Bottle out (and of course the Battery) go outside and pour the Rubbing Alcohol over the Fire Button and down into the Battery Hole. Then give the Mod a shake or two. Push the Fire Button a few times. Pour some more Rubbing Alcohol on the Fire Button.
Don't worry about Breaking anything. Remember, You Can't Break the Broken. Then shake out all Rubbing Alcohol that you can and put the Mod in the Sun to dry for a couple of hours. Give it a shake or two every or whenever you want. You shouldn't be able to here any Rubbing Alcohol inside the Mod.
Then let it sit overnight and give it a test with a Battery the Next Day.
The chances are So So that it will work. But hey, you were not going to use it. And a Mushy Button is a good sigh of a Stuck Actuator. And if it Doesn't, just put it back in a Box and chuck into the Depths of a Closet.
Seems like an awful lot for a $30 device...
BTW - I received one of these (actually 2) yesterday...
10ml Bottom Feeder Mod Great Flavor Squonk Mod Aluminum Bottom Feeder Box Mod Coppervape Modded E Cigs For Sale Mods For E Cig From Coppervape, $21.11| Dhgate.Com
Here is Semi-Review I sent another member on my Initial Thoughts.
"Just an Update. I went ahead and got 2 of those Coppervape BF Mods in Black. I ordered directly from Coppervape and the 2 came out to be $78.33 via PayPal which included 3 Day DHL Shipping.
My first impression is the Mod works Very Well.
The Build Quality looks Good.
Doesn't appear to be a lot of Voltage Drop. But don't have access to my DMM right now.
The 510 Pin sits High and the Connector is square to the top of the Mod.
The Button was a little Stiff at one point in the Stroke. But after about an hours worth of use, it broken it quite Nicely.
On/Off feature of the Button is simple and Easy to use.
The Squonk Bottle is "Soft" and Easy to Squeeze and hold squeezed.
Not had any Leaking and the 510 using a FDV BF Pin in a NarDa.
Magnets hold the Top Cover on Firm. But still Easy to remove the cover.
The Weight with a Full Bottle and an 18650 Battery is around 180 Grams.
The Powder Coating is even. But not sure how well it will hold up?
And the Balance and Hand-Feel are Very Nice also.
Overall, Very Happy with the Mod. And for $78 for 2 with 3 Day Shipping, I consider it a Win!
That said, the RDA that comes with it is Basically Unusable. LOL.
The Single O-Ring Design at the Bottom of the Base is a Serious Design Flaw.

If the OEM had placed the O-Ring Groove above the air inlet slot it would have worked Fine. But where it is, it is next to Impossible for the RDA Cover to seat Fully.
It's No Big Deal to me. Because I looked at the Price as just for the Mod. And if the RDA was Usable, I would consider it a Bonus. And if Not, well, Ca Sara Sara.
Anyway, just thought I would let you know what my 1st Impressions of the Coppervape BF Mod are. And I Definitely Feel Better having acquired a Squonker which is Not Reliant on any Electronics."
