Drippers, do you drip through your tip?

I'm just curious, what do most of you do? I know it's called a "drip tip" and you CAN drip juice directly into it and it will reach your atomizer, but I always remove my tip and drip into my atomizer itself. I really don't like getting un-vaporized e-liquid in my mouth.
Hmmm...I never though of doing this, thought you HAD to use a RDA. Have to try it. Would make it easier to sample favors...

Well, you have to have an atomizer, either a disposable 510 atty or an RDA, I just meant leaving the drip tip attached to it while dripping, or removing the drip tip to drip into the atomizer itself.

yeah, the REO is on my wishlist. Over the past couple weeks I spent about as much on gear as I would have for a REO, unfortunately I didn't know I would have the cash until I had spent half of it already. Now I just need to save up :)

Come see us in the REO subforum if you have any questions, everyone is very friendly and willing to help you get set up with the right REO for you. :)

I'll admit I lurk the REO forum, I've also been posting in super_X_drifter's micro coil thread for awhile now. I already vape only micro coils with cotton, so the REO is the next logical evolutionary step for me.

OK, I'm way off then. I thought it implied dripping directly onto the coil, like say the coil in my ProTank. Now I see that doesn't make much sense. Sorry!

That is how I got started dripping, I was just going to test flavors on an atty. Easy to clean, easy to taste. But I liked it better than my other setups, I just didn't like the hassle. Then I found out about bottom feeders and the rest is history.

Technically you could do that, it might just leak out of the bottom though. I've used a T3 as a dripper in a pinch, just took it apart to apply juice directly to the coil/wick.

I have some tips with a wider opening, I just don't have super steady hands, and I like to actually count the drops so I could see it getting messy.

Have you tried using a syringe? Once you can figure out how many drops your "dose" is, just load a small syringe and fill it through the drip tip. It might help with the unsteady hands. Until you get your REO that is ;)

Of course I drip through the tip, that's what it's there for. If I had a drip tip that forced me to remove it in order to drip, I'd throw it away and buy a proper one.
Yes. This.

I used to use delrin drip tips and a drop would almost always get hung up on the bottom.
I used to have to blow it through every time after dripping, which was a pain, but not nearly as much a pain as removing the drip tip.

Then I bought a glass drip tip and the problem was solved.
Now I use a stainless steel drip tip and the problem is still solved.
:)

You can also put a spring inside your syringe cut to the length of the perfect drip and then drip blind without flooding. This is how I would manage dripping in the dark or while driving. To answer the original question, the opening on my tip is too small to drip through, so I take it off. A lot of the time I just leave it home and stovepipe
