I'm just about at the 5-week mark of freedom from analogs. Started out with an itaste vv and love it! However, I seem to have a more serious-than-most vape tongue problem. I can currently taste my MBV Extreme Ice, but not much else.

I have read that dripping gives a better and richer taste. Everything I've read about it goes WAY over my head, not knowing anything except how to use my own device. Can someone advise me as to what I should buy in order to be able to try dripping with the PV I already have, or what I should get in order to be able to try it? Please don't use terms I won't understand; I am seriously technology-impaired.

If you kept hydrated the vapors tounge will go away eventually. What is the PV that you have? U can use any dripper as long as your resistance is above the 1 ohm area. you just need some kanthal, organic cotton, mini screwdriver set, nail clippers and a tweezers to get yourself going

I'm drinking about 80 oz of water a day in addition to coffee and iced tea.
I have the itaste vv, as I said above. And then ya lost me. Oh well. Thanks.

I suggest watching tons of videos and reading all you can about it. Best way to learn.

That being said, my first dripper was an Igo-W. I love it. Easy to build, and hits like a champ.

I have a few questions for you.

What device are you using? (Didn't see this answered lol)

What experience (if any) do you have with wrapping coils?

Do you have an Ohm Reader/Multimeter?

Do you prefer single or multi-coil setups?

What's your budget?

I am not much farther along and just started dripping. I am using bridgeless & wickless atomizers. Basically, I am dripping right onto the coil. I went to the local B&Ms and they are about $7-$8. I found them on-line in the $5 area.

Really I use them for two reasons. The first is to test juices when I receive them and periodically as to how they are steeping. The other reason is to try friends' ejuice. I have four of them with three covering new juices and one in the car for trying when out of the house.

The nice part is that they are easily cleanable just by soaking them in vodka/everclear and letting them dry out overnight. I keep the soak in a small Tupperware in the fridge, so it is reusable. I can probably get away with just two of them.

Hope helps

PennyLynn,

I'm going to try to not "lose you" lol.

Here is a more affordable simple dripping atomizer that you can use on your itaste VV.

LR510 Low Resistance Atomizer 2.0 ohm (Cisco Spec) - Avid Vaper

It looks like a cartomizer. You drip 2-4 drops into it, attach your drip tip, and vape. After a few hits, you take your drip tip off, and repeat the process.

There are better ways to go about this, but this is still really good, and the absolute simplest suggestion I can think of for you right now.

Give yourself a few months, and you'll be talking RDA's and shop talk with the rest of us. LOL

good luck

I recently went through a two week vapers tongue period and got rid of a ton of juices that were awful.

Then I ordered 24 juices in one day so I could sample lots of new stuff. I didn't want to wash out tanks and go through that drama each time, so bought a very simple rebuildable dripper.

However, you have a couple of choices if you want to get in to dripping, or at least as far as my limited knowledge goes. Hopefully someone else will give you considerably more options than I can.

Firstly, you could simply buy a straightforward dripping atomiser, such as

KP Long Barrel Sealed Atomizer - Kidney Puncher

You screw onto your battery and just drip the juice.

Alternatively, you can buy a rebuildable atomiser such as

IGO-L Rebuildable Atomizer - Kidney Puncher

That however will require you to build coils, check resistance etc. You will obviously need tools and equipment in order to do this.

Personally, I got a rebuildable (not the igo however) and much prefer it to using a protank type of setup. I always intended building my own coils for my glass tanks, but the taste difference is so markedly superior, that I hardly use my PT's now.

The big benefit is that I can vape away on a juice for half an hour, then just pull out the cotton wick, stick a new one in and vape a totally different flavour.

A word of caution though. Since I started dripping, I have started looking into mechs and bigger & better rda's far sooner than I anticipated.

+1 on just getting a dripping atomizer. Just look up 510 atomizer on Google. Or go to Avid Vapor, House of Vapor, Kidney Puncher or Ikenvape. Just need an atty and drip tip. And since you have a VV device, resistance hardly matters.

I'm not sure when dripping began to mean having to build your own coils and understanding ohms law and investing in a multi-meter and all that crap. I'm also not sure if I like it. If you do go that route, make sue to do your research before you start. I'm reading about many more venting batteries than a year ago.

I already tried to help by linking this in your other thread. It's really simple.

Yes, Katya, you did try to help me. There was just too much information for me to absorb. I apologize for my density, and I appreciate the help you and the others have given. Regarding the Joyetech you recommended, I saw that in the reviews, it was mentioned that the person had to remove the bridge. I wanted something that I didn't have to futz with, though.

So all else I would need with this is a drip tip?

yup thats it. This is the easiest method for dripping. I used this for a year before I started using more advanced drippers.

buy a few though. They are disposable...depending on how heavy a vapor you are they will only last 2-4 weeks or so.

The Joyetech atty is the easiest atty for the beginners. You don't remove anything--you just drip 3 or 4 drops, activate the battery and inhale. Trust me. I use a Joyetech myself.

I will order this, but can you tell me which ohmage to get? 1.5 or 2?

You could buy one of each and see which one you like better. You have a variable voltage device so you can tune to the spot you like to adjust the warmth and taste of the vape.

In general if you have lower ohms the lower your voltage is going to need to be to be warmer. The higher the ohm the more voltage you will need to make it warmer.

Thank you very much! I look forward to trying dripping out, both for more flavor and to sneak-taste my steeping juices.
My husband just said (hearing me rant here) that it seemed like smoking was a lot easier.....

The bridge doesn't have to be removed. It's a preference thing. When I first started dripping, I found the bridge easier to use. It holds a bit more liquid than a de-bridged one and is more forgiving if you put in too much.
