Smoking is a lot easier; just open the pack and pull one out. And, now since I quit, I know they stink. People are rather repulsive in their smell, even if not smoking at the moment. AND, worst of all are the cancerous chemicals!

My nose works now, my taste buds work, I have more energy..and I don't stink. Very bad first impression.

It just becomes a hobby with so many paybacks.

Well, I have a couple on the way now, and I appreciate all the help. Don't think I'm odd for not wanting to build these things from the ground up, but I have plenty of hobbies already (avid sewist), and did I mention I'm 63? I'm still amazed that this worked when I didn't even really care if I never quit? Totally life-changing for me.
Now, if I could just taste my Hawk Sauce...

Penny, I feel your pain. Vapors tongue is a bummer. A few things I did to help when it hit me was drink a lot, brush your tingue and hard candy like peppermints.
I've tried almost everything I've seen, including smelling coffee grounds, eating green olives, and even taking a tiny sip of lemon juice! I also cut back on the coffee as it seemed to be clashing with my sour fruit flavors. I vape what tastes like cardboard to me, then my husband tries it and says "wow" Grrrrrrrr.

Hi,

What kind of juices have you been trying? I'm going through something similar... tried a bunch of different ones from different vendors and don't really taste much. However, I did happen to pick up some fruit-type juice from nicoticket, "Gravity", and I can definitely taste that one, so I just ordered some of his other fruit type, Betelgeuse.

Hopefully, this phase will past for both of us SOON :)!!

Firstly, you could simply buy a straightforward dripping atomiser, such as

KP Long Barrel Sealed Atomizer - Kidney Puncher

You screw onto your battery and just drip the juice.

Alternatively, you can buy a rebuildable atomiser such as

IGO-L Rebuildable Atomizer - Kidney Puncher

I don't know about the first link but the IGO-L can be had for less from other reputable US vendors that also don't rape you on shipping like Kidney Puncher does. I suggest checking myvaporstore.com or discountvapers.com. They have better prices on the gear and the shipping and both are good vendors.

I know your pain. Once I started vaping I couldn't put it down. Then all of a sudden it tasted like I had a mouth of vegetable oil and couldn't taste ANYTHING. I just got a mod with a dripper, and it's much better !

I still use my clearomizers when driving, or doing something, but I HAVE TO carry a few tanks with different flavors and switch up pretty often or I'll lose the taste. I can't wait until this goes away !!!

Yes, this is exactly why I wanted to look into dripping. The juic tasted so delightful at first; and cigarettes were UGH in comparison. Of course I don't want one of those again, but I would like to regain the enjoyment vaping had for me at first!

Well, I DID order the Kidney Puncher one, because it was the closest to "no fuss, no muss" that I could find. My goal was to buy stuff that didn't require any knowledge I don't have.
I'm not looking to get into the wire or the wicking or the electrical theory. I just DON'T want to smoke (and to taste my juice again)!
Can I just add that I wouldn't equate paying extra for shipping with rape?

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but I have a blog about direct dripping you might find useful: Drip, Drip, Drip…
Ocelot, Katya had referred me to your blog last week. Again, much more information than I wanted.
I am the kind of person who can go WAY over the deep edge when I get interested in something new. As I've gotten older it is more manageable. For instance, since starting yoga six months ago, I've only bought two books, and attended classes at three studios LOL.
But since all this modding and rebuilding involves numbers( I am allergic to them), it's more than easy for me to stay away!

Penny, if I could make it simple for you would you try rebuilding? You already have an Itaste vv, if that is the 3.0 version then you have an ohm meter already and we will get back to that. The only thing you need for rebuilding from here is an IGO-L or IGO-W some 30gauge kanthal and small wire cutters. and a little cotton. FInd a finish nail or straighten a large paper clip or even a large sewing needle to wrap your wire around. I would start with trying 8 wraps around your finish nail and mount to your IGO. Watch a youtube video or two to see how to mount, it's easy. Put the igo on your Itaste and push both the - and + at the same time, this is how you check ohms. keep it above 1.0 I would actually shoot for 1.5 ohm. More wraps means higher resistance thread cotton through the center of your coil and wet the wick. vape away. It will only take 1 or 2 times and you will have it down. The flavor cannot be beat. Now I will add if you decide to get into mechs or anything like that then obviously you need to do more research. But with that itaste you will be fine.

What? What? Was that a foreign language?
Honey, I have no idea what you just said, or what it is I would be rebuilding....
It's not like I have no skills though; I can make a prom gown or tirami su.
Let's just step away from the workbench...backs out of the room

I went from just wanting to quit smoking and not that I "wanted to" (found nodules in my lungs) but "needed" to. I LOVED smoking. I woulda smoked in my sleep if I could of, LoL. So I understand what you're looking for (I think). You want to vape as easy as it was to light up a cigarette and smoke until it was done, with the same enjoyment.......right ?

Are there any vape stores near you that you can just go to and tell them what you're looking for ? I didn't have any near me until 2 weeks ago.

I now want to get into the hobby side of it as well, with dripping and mods, but only when I'm home. When I'm out driving or doing something I'm with you on that. Give me something good and easy !!

Good luck

Yes, easy for me, please. As it is, apparently, the least I have to do is clean my clearos, replace faulty atomizers, and steep my juices. That I can handle.
As far as quitting, I didn't want to, either. I do have some elective surgery coming up, and the doctor told me I'd have to quit for two weeks, so that was on my mind. I even ordered a hypnosis CD from a guy who helped me quit once for seven months...but I figured I would be able to stick out the two weeks. Otherwise, no! I loved smoking! Then someone showed me his PV, helped me order one, and five days later I smoked my last Kool. Well, rather, I took two puffs and stubbed it out in disgust. Still can't believe it! My kids, my mother, and my sister (best friend who quit 17 years ago) are all so happy for me.

Yeah, I didn't even realize that I stopped. I was like "I haven't had a cigarette in a while". Went outside, lit one up, took about 3 drags, flicked it, pulled out my Ego and started vaping. The only thing now is I'm vaping SOOOOOOO MUCH. If I got put in the hospital again I'd probably freak ! I'd need a nic patch on, while chewing the gum, with dip in my cheeks, LoL.

Or just get a private room and vape in the room.
