I'm wondering about this because I am so fed up with my clearomizers gurgling and leaking and burnt taste from my vg heavy juices in the stock ego tank. I've got to wait a couple of days for 306 atties to come in the mail. I took off the ego tank bottom (to use the upper portion as a drip tip) and dripped into the cone with the spike still there and got some decent vapor. Much better tasting than what was coming out of the tank. I was wondering if I can and should remove the spike and drip into the atomizer itself. Has anyone tried this? I've also been looking at the venus RBA, that seems promising and may end up solving my woes. Any input here is appreciated.

I have the Ego C and drip straight into the cone when trying differnt flavors. I don't have to do anything except remove the tank. I vape right off the cone. Of course a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Yes, you can remove the spike. Do so gently, using a wiggling back and forth motion until it separates from the rest of the atty.
You can, but there's really no need to. The opening by the flat sides of the spike plate lead right into the coil area. The spike also holds the wicking close to the coil...
