Dripping noob - help plz

Hiya all, I just got my first e-liquid from freesmoke. The instructions weren't very clear what to do so I kinda worked it out myself. If any of you guys can correct me or answer any of my questions it would be greatly appriciated.

First off, (I'm using the RN4081) I took out the little white plastic thing that has the fibre inside it with some tweezers from the mouthpiece. Whats this part called, is it the cart? Anyway, I then pulled the fibre out (is there a proper name for this fibre?) and stuck it into a syringe to squeeze to current juice out of it (it was really minging - the stuff that came with my e-cig). Is e-liquid dangerous to touch on naked skin? I then put the fibre back in its white plastic...bucket thing, and dripped five or six drips of my new e-liquid in it, with the bottle and needle that came with it. I placed the white thing back into the mouth piece and puffed away for a bit. However, I've been after a smooth e-liquid, and I heard the stuff off freesmoke was good, but it still has the same tastes and the scratchy throat thing (though less so) that the other had that come with my e-cig. Is this normal or is it because theres some residue left in the fibre from the old stuff. If so, can I buy new fibre/white plastic things to drip into.

Also, I dropped the fiber on the floor and sofa a couple of times, is it safe to put this back into the e-cig a vape - theres prob loadsa dust on it etc.

If you refill a cart it will still retain some of the taste of the original juice unless you wash and dry the fibre.

Some of the original juice will also be left in the atomizer so unless that is washed through you will also get a bit of the original juice taste for a while even if you washed out the cart.

I don't think nic juice is concentrated enough to harm most people via skin contact - just don't go washing your hands in the stuff and keep it away from your eyes.

Have you tried dripping your new juice directly onto the atomizer and puffing away without the fibre in place? - new juice will soon replace the old - its probably the quickest way to tell what your new juice tastes like without washing everything through.
