Dripping on Blu Atomizers beats cartridges

using cartridges with these Blu cigs was frustrating. I have bottles of liquid, and I drip it to the inside of the triangle on the atomizer. It works great like that. I think dripping on the outside of the triangle is a waste of liquid, and having a cartridge/stuffing saturated with liquid which belongs on the inside of the triangle is also wasteful. I don't use the stuffing or the inner cartridge pieces anymore. Just the empty cartridge tips over the atomizer.

These Blu atomizers that I have: I'll be honest and say I have abused them. I banged them around while using cartridges, overpuffed and overheated them dry several times. There is something about the combination of these batteries and these atomizers that is more reliable than much of what else is available in small e-cigs.

This class of battery can't possibly be charged to last as long as some of the "giants" which use rechargeable flashlight batteries. Due to that, these are light weight vapers' e-cigs. There is no way that I know of to get long enough battery life for a heavy vaping lifestyle with these. They are durable / reliable and can take overheating, but they do drain batteries often for a chain-vaper.

I'm sure no USB pass through can be used with these unless it can reduce to the correct voltage for the atomizers. 5v USB power is definitely too much, I guarantee. 5v will light the atomizer up bright orange instantly.

Drip on any auto switch device, especially one as poorly made as the Blu, and you will kill the battery. Not advisable. I would only drip on manual battery devices such as the Prodigy.

I have a Prodigy too :D You might be thinking I am soaking this Blu atomizer Prodigy style, but no just 2 drops inside the triangle. I do it hoping none ends up leaking into battery killing areas. I still only have the original 2 Blu batteries that I got, and the same 2 atomizers. All 4 pieces still work, but when these die (it is disposable stuff, afterall), I'll only be using devices of the 801 variety, and Puresmoker Prodigy are some of those parts.

For what it's worth, I got my blu starter kit on July 9th and am still using the original two batteries and two atomizers, plus four more atomizers so I can keep six carts total in the PCC and just swap them out by unscrewing the whole cart/atty assembly. You're right that the atomizers seem to take a lot of abuse, probably mostly because they don't get anywhere near as hot as, say, a 510 atty.

One suggestion for you: instead of dripping onto the atomizer wick, consider dipping instead. See this post. The blu's atomizer is practically made for this, and it's even less wasteful than dripping.

Sorry, one more thing: I'm pretty sure I've read that you can use a 510 battery with a blu atty and cart, and a blu battery with a 510 atty and cart. I haven't tried it, but I'm guessing a 510 battery would yield a much longer time between charging. (But if you do this, do NOT try to charge blu batteries in 510 chargers or 510 batteries in blu chargers, as they aren't compatible.)

Also, I have a Sidesho battery on the way to me for testing. It's apparently made by the same company who makes the blu, and is compatible with blu but longer and supposedly with twice the charge. It doesn't sound like it'll fit in the pack, but I'll give a test run and post my finding to the blu forum.

Ive been using Blu since June and all i do is drip, the carts are worthless. Ive been using the same atomizer I got with it as well, and never clean it. This is all through daily use at the computer.

The carts work much better and more consistently if you refill them, in my experience. I concur about the atomizers, though-- they seem to last a long time without any cleaning, probably because they don't get overheated. I always hear about how great the 510 is (mine are still on order), but I've read sooooo many threads about atomizers dying after a week or two and people jumping through crazy hoops to keep them going a bit longer. I'm not looking forward to all the extra maintenance I'm going to have to do on 510 equipment to get my money's worth.

Plus, at 2 for $9.95 and free shipping, blu atomizers are cheap. :)

Yeah ive refilled they do work much better than out of the package carts, tinfoil was a real bad idea on their part, but dripping still gives me alot more vapor, and an easier hit.

Just last night, I replaced the polyfill in all six of my active carts with nylon from Lipton's pyramid tea bags. I wasn't convinced that it would make much difference in the blu's teeny carts, but so far, it really seems to have improved things noticeably-- more vapor, more consistency, more flavor. It's early days yet, but after a couple more days I'll post my findings. I haven't seen anyone else mention that they've done the PTB mod to blu carts, but I assume I can't be the first.

Still not quite as effective as dipping/dripping, though. :)

I combined two empty blu carts, err well i mean the polyfill/wool looking stuff i combined two of those into the same cart and it seems to work alot better than the original cart, also the little plastic cup that holds the polyfill/wool looking stuff i didnt push back down all the way, i used the atty to push it down and it doesnt push it down all the way and the atty is more in the oil, seems to be working great for me for the past day and a half

I have the same as a blu but from volcano. I've been using the carts that it came with and getting frustrated!! Now i'm waiting for refill liquid and running low on carts. I read on here about dipping and OMG it rocks!!! I used an oral medicine syringe and squeezed enough juice from my used filling material (added a little glycerin & vanilla extract)to dip for days!!! Glad I saved my old carts. Thanks guys!!!
