Just remember to plug the opposite hole when running the W in single coil. You can just use a little tape or the end of a toothpick.

Will it effect the functionality of the Igo or is it just a preference on airflow? Because if it will effect functionality, I'll do it even before testing.

You only need both airholes for dual coils. If you leave it open with only a single, it will hinder performance and flavor.
