Dripping...where have you been all my life?

I started with pre-filled cartomizers. They worked well, but it was hard to gauge where the water vapor ended and the singed wick began. Refills never tasted that great, and I never got the "1.5 packs per carto" so many vendors promise.

I moved on to Boge LR empties. The good taste was even more fleeting.

Ego + carts, where I tasted more atomizer than juice.

Finally, ego + 510 tank system seemed to be just what I was looking for. When it worked, it was; but so frequently I'd be vaping burnt plastic, I finally popped the tank off and popped on a steel drip tip I had lying around.

I've been dripping on to a 510-t atty for a day now, and it's been just about perfect. I know it's not the most portable, but all these other systems are just so inconsistent and often toxic-tasting...it seems like it should be the standard.

Anyway, I imagine a LR 510 atty would probably give me an improved dripping experience with my ego, no? Any tips welcome. Thanks, ecf.

I'm an Ego-T guy who is about to down grade to the tried and true 510 atty. My ego-t type A attys both died in 7 days each.
Most likely due to my custom Cavendish and clove flavor extracts, but non the less, the 510 is getting some crazy longevity reviews around the net. Yeah it's only money, ...but I hate the thought of constant atty cleaning vs. atty-killing carbon build up.
Great tips here, thanks.)

Next Step - a feeder mod will give you all of those benefits, without the hassle. I loved dripping, but will never drip again, now that I've bought two Reos. Of course, I can always add a drop or two, in the reservoir, if I'm trying new juices. It's only money... LOL

Indeed....get a juice box. They are all good, but I like the Phidias and MonkeyBoxx the best!

Yep eGo 1000 + LR 510 and a drip tip. This is what I'm doing now after starting with pre-filled carts but still working on getting and keeping the right amount of juice on the atty at all times. People generally say 2-3 drips until the flavor starts to lessen but Im finding this isn't always consistent for me. Sometimes I get great amount of vapor; sometimes not so much. Ive also found though that I think I'm occasionally flooding it too much as sometimes when Im not getting good production I can unscrew from battery and blow out a fair amount of juice.

I also didn't know about primer before using this particular LR atty. So the general rule for that is try to blow it out first thing and if the manufacturer used primer it will exit? And if they did not you should let your juice soak for a few mins before using the new atty?

I love dripping too:)

The flavor is phenomenal and I don't mind the hassle. Only downside is it's impossible while driving:)

If you're using any of the fat batts (ego or more) you might want to try the new duel coils. Not as good as dripping but very good flavor with no burning. It's going to be my go-to equipment for out and about.

True about the cloves. My djarum black clove juice will make a LR 1.5 and 1.8 atty hard to drag in 2 days. Standard rez seems to work a little longer. But the mixture I make needs LR power lol. Need to clean them LR more often and have loads of back up. Thats what I learned so far for my application.

I've mentioned this before, but I've come completely back to dripping. Bottom feeders were okay, but I got bored with the same flavor for 6ml. Changing flavors wasn't all hard with the feeders, but I changed so often, it was a major hassle. And while it's possible to drip with something like REO Grand, it seems like a waste of the main features of the REOs. (It's not that Provari is only for dripping... but I think it's especially well-suited for it. But... just for the record... I'm going to be trying a Darwin very soon.)

To me, straight dripping isn't any more difficult than pulling out a cigarette, lighting it up, etc... but it's a whole lot more fun.

So I can use the dual coils with my 900 mAh eGo battery?

Yes. The regular ego, riva and such will work as well. The duel coils are odd because they spread the heat out over a much bigger surface area. They produce more vapor without singing the batting material. The vapor is good but not as good as dd imho.

I have yet to try any vaping method BUT dripping. It's how started (not long ago) and I'm perfectly happy with it. Especially with the bridgeless LR 510's I'm using! As another poster said, it's not really any more difficult than pulling out a cigarette, then a lighter, then lighting, then putting your smokes and lighter away. I would like to try a feeder mod at some point, because there are times when it would be convenient, such as when driving, but for now I'm content. I just put my eGo and a bottle of juice in my pocket, and I'm good to go...
