I love my bike and have been known to show it a little affection every now and then. Something wrong with that? :p

Sharon... I won't disparage the SD... it was my favorite vape for a long time... but it's not sealed. I'd have to take it apart every now and then and wipe out the battery compartment. Might be why the green one dislikes dripping.

Thanks Walrus, right now it's almost all I use as well. Is that why I keep destroying the atomizers with it? I know whatever I'm doing, it's me and not the Screwdriver (believe me, I'm not blaming it, it is a good vape) but again, it's something I'm doing. Probably the dripping which Trog does tell us NOT to do, it's just I love to drip and hate carts.

I just don't understand why I've gone through so many atomizers with it. I sure look forward to the Prodigy which is made so we can drip. Again, please know, I'm not knocking the Screwdriver, it's just not the e-cig for me I guess because I do like to drip!

Yeah unsealed HW sucks for dripping in most cases. I know this may seem like i am trying to score brownie points, but i have tried a lot of different juice, and the shytuff that Steve sells is the best for dripping. Pair it with the prodigy=dripping heaven.

Some of the other juice i have tried kills like an atty or 2 a week, and murders batteries, and is a pain to clean. I am done with all that since i have the prodigy now, may order a protege to use at work, although i like how the prodigy resembles a light saber, haha.

Thanks. I have burned out so many, many atty's with the Screwdriver. I'm getting tired of burning out atty's. I am so looking forward to getting my Prodigy. Sigh.

I don't think the device has anything to do with atty's dying. At 3.7v, the SD wouldn't be doing anything extra to kill your attys. The fact that the SD isn't sealed wouldn't effect your attys either... it would effect the SD, specifically the batteries.

Dripping is a science, nay an art, unto itself. When dripping, you gotta be careful first not to overfill. Then you gotta be careful not to underfill. Then you gotta be careful not to drip when the atty is too hot. And not to vape it too dry.

Then, just when you think you have it mastered, you switch to a 5v device... and gotta learn it all over again.

Thanks Walrus, I know you are right. I just got in today my empty carts I ordered from Heaven's Gifts. They are different than the ones I originally got with the e-cigs. I like them better. I'm going to try and start using the carts again. Guess I'm just getting too dang stubborn in my old age. Geez, and I complain about my mother being that way...slapping forehead and hoping I'll act more like I've got enough sense to follow directions.

B.P. (Before Prodigy), I had always use carts on my 510's and my 801 Janty Stick.
Yesterday was my first full day with my 801 Prodigy (totally digging it), and was fiddling with a messy, leaky straw-modded 801 cart whose flavor was starting to turn. Suddenly I heard Steve's voice in my head, "I recommend the Prodigy for dripping."

So I dripped and toked my tailpipe a la Walrus. What an epiphany! Pure flavor, great vapor, no fuss and muss as with cartridges. A simple and pure practice dripping is! I have no data yet on how many drops lasts how many tokes as I am still in the learning curve. I have about 40 801 attys in the house, so I don't really care about the reports that dripping allegedly kills attys faster. I am already very good at blowing out my attys twice daily.

I did flood my atty on the way home when a 30 ml bottle of RY4 went awry, but no biggie.

Consider me a Prodigy dripping convert!

Thanks for that Enfield. I love dripping! I have a Screwdriver and really like it, right now, until my Prodigy comes in, it's my main vape. I do need to break my AdapteR out and give that some time so I can talk about it, but not sure I will, kind of saving it in case something goes wrong with my two Screwdrivers :D. But the Screwdriver isn't made for dripping and I burned out so many atty's (not sure if it was a bad run of atty's or the dripping) that I went back to the carts with it as suggested. Haven't burned out an atty since, but I miss my dripping.

Sure will be glad when the Prodigy comes.

I never dared to drip into my 801 Janty Stick, what with the atty-battery connector buried so far down inside the thing. Even without dripping, my JS-V1 leaked itself to death within three weeks of being my 50% vaper (it shared duty with my 510). The poor thing, it was truly missed...UNTIL THE PRODIGY CAME TO TOWN. Tee hee.

I tried dripping a couple times in my 510, but with the coil being so small and hot, I just kind of missed the point.

I wonder if anyone has ever "sawed off" an 801 atty for dripping purposes.

How long does it take to get the nasty atty primer taste to stop? Its like I have to learn e smoking all over again, I still havent hit the sweet spot yet and Ive been vaping on this thing sneeking around in my workplace blowing clouds, but I cant quite figure out the taste. I have already over filled it, and blew it out and cleaned the contacts, and seems that it only holds 2 drops without overfilling. I topp it off, it tastes good for 2 puffs, then tastes really off like the primer. Does anyone with experience know what Im talking about?

Yeah, I am dripping on the atty, If I put 4 in, its like sucking from a straw from a milk shake, and I hear gurgling. This normal? Thanks for your help by the way. That was fast!

Could be a couple things! Is there liquid down in the reservoir of the adapter? Make sure to clean that out. Then completely blow out every single ounce of liquid in the atomizer on to a papertowel. Then wipe the threads down on both ends. Put 4-5 drops in the atomizer, puff a couple times, add 2 more drops and you should be set. 4-5 drops should net you anywhere between 6-12 puffs :)

Sounds like you are still flooded, or you need to change your batteries.

As Zofryer is sayin ... One of a couple things. Are the batteries charged, or did you stick a couple in while the others charged?

Believe it or not, I actually waited the full amount for the batteries to charge before I used it!! Patience is not one of my best virtues.

I tried what you said, and it is hitting much more clear and smoothly, wow, what a punch! Just and FYI, 24mg is way to strong and makes you stare at your computer screen like your waiting for something to happen on its own.

It tasted good for the first two puffs, but after that tastes really off, which Im assuming is the atty primer. Do you know how long thats supposed to last?

The only thing I find different than most people's experiences is the ml. content. I was using 20 mgs. before and still am. Doesn't seem any harsher to me at all. I've read where many people have to cut down. But then I can smoke 36ml. without too many problems so it's probably just me.

Don't get me wrong. I've been vaping away on this thing now for almost 8 hours and each hour that goes by takes me further and further into vaping bliss! This Prodigy is absolutely awesome.

When I was reading the raving reviews these last few weeks I thought that perhaps many people were just going a little overboard with their praise, but you know what, they weren't. This Prodigy is an awesome vape! I think I have finally found that PV that is the ultimate and don't need to search for another.

Hi, Walrus,

I remember that I first saw the term from you. I later quoted it and gave you proper credit for coining it. As far as I'm concerned, you are the owner and originator of the term "tailpiping."

+1... Walrus was the first I recall coining the term also.

BTW... Had an idea for tailpipin' but haven't tried it yet...
Has Anyone tried dipping the mouthpiece end of thier Atty in the rubber coating for hand tools? Plasti Dip – Protective Rubber Coating Products – Plasti Dip International
I bet it would make Tailpipin' alot easier on the lips and teeth and probably be a great insulator against the heat of the atty... I might still have some in the shop. Gonna give it a try , will post results.
Would be way cool if the "soft tail" actually was removable after drying so you could just slide it onto the next atty. Definitley worth some testing:)
