I've never done it with a 901, but I only have 2 901 attys and hardly used them before getting the PD. I've done it plenty with 510 attys w/out getting any liquid in my mouth. Maybe a difference in how they wick or something? I swear liquid just runs right through the 510s. LOL

someone make it, ready GO.Not 100% positive but I swear the clear tip on the Fang looks like a piece of the analog tar reduction filters or whatever those things are. Basically a clear mouthpiece. Maybe something like that? You could get a closer look at them at Walgreen's or probably most smokeshops.

Hey HD ... The resistor we use is strong enough to withstand 3.7v batts all day long ... they are rated at 2W, and pull .5ohms from whatever the source may be. So, if you use 3.7v batts, it will still be regulated, just not down to 5-5.5v ...
And sure, you can use a 3.7v battery without issue. Regulated, it will drop roughly .5v ... Unregulated, it will stay at 3.6 - 3.7v under load (topping at 4.2v unloaded)

So the resistor will be fine, and Ill just be getting around 6.5 volts solid, as the resistor only drops .5 volts? Then I would be putting a heavy strain on the atomizers yes? I can order some 3 volts , isnt a big deal, just wanted to make sure Im getting this straight. Thanks Cash.
Lol I don't know something about that just seems dangerous with your mouth that close to an atty buy I just gave it a shot.
Actually what I just started doing is dripping into the back side of the mouth piece 3-4 drops and then popping it back on and it seems to work well.
Why not use the mouth piece without the cartridge in? Wouldn't it be pretty much the same?? Well, minus the hot metal and spitting juice.

Hey HD ... Yes, it will be putting the atty's through the ringer. It actually add's the resistance of .5 ohms ... So in essence, you will be dropping voltage by roughly 1-1.5v ... Hope that helps
Hey Closet ... I tailpipe it, for the sad fact I am too lazy to take the tip off ... I take 5-10 (4-5 second) draws, set it down for a few minutes, then pick up again. Metal gets warm but not hot, and I NEVER get liquid in my mouth ... Its an art

In my experience, tailpiping is far more feasible with the 801 than with the 901, due to difference in heat at the end and potential juice uptake. Anyone else get a similar impression?

I was forced to learn how to keep atomizers from popping at the raw power of an untamed 6v+
Applying what I learned to 5v's and its a cinch ... That, and I pump liquid through it like no tomorrow ... 5ml daily, remember Even I don't go longer than 2-3 seconds on a 901 ... 801's ... I would say, average is about 5 seconds.
Plus, I take pretty good care of my atty's.
1) Clean the canal and adapter threads 4-5 times daily.
2) Blow out the atomizer about twice a day. Then refill with the freshness
3) Never let the atomizer get past warm.
4) Keep juice pumping through it, like blood in my veins

I got my Prodigy on Friday afternoon and have never dripped before (my pen style instructions said not to). I have to say that the dripping on the Prodigy is da bomb! The taste is awesome, the vapor is warm and it seems like when I switch flavors, it comes through right away without the sometimes nasty taste of mixing flavors. I picked up my pen style this morning topped it off and took a drag and it seemed like I could taste something funky (the wool perhaps?) Anyways I'm sold and probably will not touch my other e-cig unless forced to! Thanks for such an awesome product!

I love this thread! I love to tailpipe and it's so good knowing it's more than OK to do it with the Prodigy. I do it with the Screwdriver and not sure if that's what's doing it, but I've killed so many atty's I lost count. Not sure what I'm doing wrong and Trog is DEFINITELY against tailpipeing and dripping. More than likely the Screwdriver isn't made for dripping, but I hate carts.
OK, that being said, I WANT my Prodigy, but I'll wait and be patient. After I get it, I just might have to get another one
