I've had my ZMAX for about two weeks now and have been extremely happy thus far. I’ve been vaping for about 2 months and been completely off analogs for 25 days now. Last night I got up off the couch and my beloved ZMAX with my vivi nova attached jumped out of my pocket and landed on the edge of my glass coffee table. It put some nice scratches on the LED display, but I can live with that. My main issue is the little pin inside the connector must have gotten pushed in towards the battery because now only my vivi's work on it. My 510 drip tips and my cartos no longer screw in far enough to make contact and when I fire them it just reads 9.9 ohms.

Its obviously not a warranty issue since I dropped it. Is there a way for me to fix this? Does that top cap unscrew like the battery cap on the bottom? I couldn’t make it budge when I tried by hand and wasn’t ready to try pliers without asking around first.

Any help is appreciated.

I guess damaging the pin did more than I initially thought. It seems none of my attys are working the same. I'm just not getting the same vapor production with the same settings as I was before I dropped. I’m going to take it to the store where I bought it (All About Vapor in Round Rock TX) and tell them my story and see if they will sell me another one at a steep discount. If that’s a no go, or the cost is more than I can pay, I will tear this one apart and see if I can fix it. I found another thread that says the end is pressed in and can be tapped out from the inside with a long screwdriver. If I go this route, ill take some pics and post them for others who may need to self-service their vmax.

I have been so furstrated with vaping since this happened. Things were going so great and now nothing is going right! At least I have still managed to stay away from the analogs...

Thanks for letting me vent.

jpf880 - Thats a big ol bass in your profile pic! Nice...

An update on my issue, I used a small tool and pryed up the pin a lot further this time and it got really loose so I stopped. I then screrwed my vivi back on and it worked. Then I tried my other attys and they all now work!!! I guess I just didnt pry it up enough the first time.

Thanks for your help.
