Dropped my little Ovale Elips in the hopper last year, it just slipped through my fingers at an inopportune moment ...

Retrieved it within the 5 second rule, but still required an alcohol soak for the mouthpiece, tank, and atomizer, and the battery case got an alcohol wipe and a vacation in a bowl of rice for a couple of days, the pass-thru socket is wide open ...

Good as new after that, its still tootling along today ... :)

God, I hate that lanyard around my neck when I am riding. A girl at Sturgis had made herself the most awesome setup for when riding. She took a 3" wide elastic fabric and sewed velcro on the ends, and a pouch with pockets, on it. She had it strapped right under her knee, which put the mod right in easy reach while riding. MUST make one. She had juice and a spare batt in there too.

On my Road Glide, I have the fairing pockets which are OK. Just got a XDiavel S for around town, and it has NOTHING for storage. NADA. But I have a camelbak backpack, and I put a flip phone cell holder on the shoulder strap. I don't even have to take it out. The driptip fits right up under my helmet, and I can vape it right in the holder.

So what's the end of the story? Did it work or not after it dried out?

I was seriously considering it but I couldn't do it. If I could have seen it I may have done it but I don't know how deep it is and the only things worse than pulling it out would be searching and coming up empty, or maybe not coming up empty but no mod.

I have an old leather cigarette case mounted to my fairing that holds my box mods. I usually have and older one in their for riding and keep my good ones in the tour pack. That way if I happen to drop it during riding it wont make me cry. CHEERS!

I used to keep my mod in my jacket pocket and just vaped at lights but when they turned green I was fumbling to get it put away and take off. I was originally going to try and mount it to my fairing or my tank so I could vape at lights but the lanyard works so much better, I just drop it and take off. However you almost have to have a fairing or a big windscreen or else it bangs all over you. I started with an Istick 30 and it works great on a bike in a lanyard being so compact but my Kbox fits just fine too and now that I have the Velcro on there I don't fear losing it. I used to look for places to stop and get a good vape in but now I can ride all day and vape at 70 mph.

With my fairing and windscreen I don't even notice that the lanyard is there but on my old bike that was naked I knew it was there cuz it was flying all over the place and I had to tuck it in my shirt to save me a concussion. I love the lanyard cuz I can vape cruising down the road even at 70mph and when I'm done I just drop it, and now with the Velcro I don't worry about losing it. Before the lanyard I almost dropped my mod a few times fumbling to put it away at lights so I love the fact that I can just drop it and forget about it.

I remember the "old school", state park out houses.
There was no blue water....

At my age, those "old school" outhouses came to mind until seeing blue was mentioned. I wouldn't even look down one of those if I had a light. And whatever you do, don't light a match!

Outhouses to me means a wooden shack and a hole in the ground but blue water or chemical is what we refer to as porta-potties or porta-johns. Still I kind of doubt I would stick my hand in to retrieve much less putting it in my mouth ever again!

An old saying comes to mind................ You don't know where his mouth has been!

I grew up with an outhouse. A Port-a-John is...portable. It was over a pit and was a two seater because the pit was a little larger. Being a kid, I was always worried about a snake biting my .....

I guess today, I would want to vape just so I could smell something better. I look over at Snoopy and remember that some kids put cow manure in mailboxes. Not that I remember being involved, of course.

Some places, vaping big clouds is wise.

Yeah, that 5 second rule - not a reality. IMO

YUCK! I'm sorry to hear that, but I have to say when I go for rides I have no problem pulling over to enjoy the scenery and vape a little bit. Or I just wait till I get where Im going. I am so happy that you didn't reach in for it... it would have been ruined anyway and you would have stuck your hand in one of the dirtiest places you could... lol
