bury it for several days to a week,,,,,,,,,the rice will hopefully draw out the moisture,,,,,,if you're lucky, it will save your battery,,,,,,,

The battery is most likely to be lithium - so if water got into it you'd know all about it!!

The pressure sensor that senses when you take a drag is probably the bit that gets ruined.

Another thing that does the sensor in, is; refilling with fluid without removing the carto from the battery first - I stripped a battery and wired in a microswitch (in the Vapourlites its integral with the lithium battery charge management, so has to be rewired back in). In the end I found the Li battery too much aggro, so I glued the threaded insert the carto screws into to an AA battery holder - now I use Ni-Mh/Ni-Cd batteries and a microswitch.

I dropped a battery in the river once while paddling. Snatched up and kept on vaping.

Lithium the element will burn violently in water. Rechargeable batteries are lithium ion and if on fire can be put out with water. Disposable lithium batteries I believe do use lithium so you would not want douse them with water.
