For some people on certain insurance plans through their employer, if nicotine shows up in their blood work, they pay a hefty fee or increase in premium regardless of whether they actually smoke or not. They won't get fired, but they are fined excessively. Even if it's from using a nicotine patch and not smoking. There has to be a better way to handle this issue. People shouldn't get fined even while trying to quit smoking. Luckily I haven't had to deal with it yet but my office manager at work says she is waiting to get all the details as to the cost and rules soon from the government.

Having said that - my Dr always makes me test due to the rx's I'm on (Degenerative Disc Disease) basically I have not one disc that isn't fused in my neck - I won't let them touch my thoracic or lumbar TOO many failed surguries I've learned about from friends..
I digress... since my last post I've had to find a happy medium between 8mg to 11mg Yes some are lower but when I get the AH :evil:feeling I have to reach for the 11mg Mostly I'm ok at 6mg or even zero unless it's one of THOSE days
ALL in all it's OK (period) I'm vaping = not smoking!

I also found out that the hardware I use makes a HUGE difference (no names) but I have a tank that just is awesome for plumes and TH :)

I'm going to just hang in there for awhile UNLESS the FDA starts that nonsense - then it will be STOCK UP time! :vapor:

that was my problem i dropped from 18mg to 6mg and ended up just smoking again to fill the void, so now starting over with 18mg and see where that goes.
Definitely not worrying about nic levels anymore. With this new delivery system the 16mg was what made me think I could drop quicker.. (I honestly have really NO good reason to worry about trying to drop down - maybe it was my original intent but I LOVE to vape!) :vapor:
With my coffee/espresso morning wake up - I'm ok around 6mg (some days I go for about 4 hours before realizing!) but eventually something will happen - not every day - but just enough to make me grab the 16mg for awhile. Better than an analog any day. NEVER would have thought THIS would be the cure for "me". PREMIUM FLAVOR(s) definitely helps !
The Industry has come such a long way - easier for newbies (like me) so much in fact I have 5 friends that are now vapers - 1 of which is totally off even vaping (unless we're out together ;) ) . Have another friend that tried 3 years ago - didn't really bug her but with the NEW advantages, easier hardware - USA made juice. She's going on Day 6 an having zero issues! Love it!
Even with her boyfriend smoking (outside=considerate) she'll be converting him soon enough !:2cool:

I have never understood why people feel like they "MUST GO DOWN" on their nicotine consumption.

Why are vapers in such a rush to go down to zero?

Everyone has different goals. Some people wish to break their addiction to nicotine altogether.

There is nothing extremeist about that, anymore than it is exremist to vape 24mg ejuice (which would knock me on the floor so i guess THAT would be extreme for me )

For me, I didn't enjoy vaping high nic juice, it made me jumpy and anxious and I actually had too many cravings to vape. Once I lowered to 12 I was much better. 6 or 9 seems best for me now.

I enjoy vaping and will probably go to 0 nic soon. Then there's the side of me that would like to give up vaping, just be free of all of it.

I did have some elective surgery years ago and EVERY surgeon refused to operate on me if I was taking any nicotine into my body, as the site was one where you don't want a lot of scarring and nicotine is a vasoconstrictor and does make the wound site heal slower. When you are wanting to not have scars it's important I guess, otherwise I have no idea why 4 surgeons all refused to operate on patients who are nicotine, even the patch. From talking to them, they had a lot of experience and a lot of patient records to go by, so I figured they knew best, and they did. :)

So I guess there's more than one answer to your question, depending on what each vaper is going thru.

Sorry I dont know what kind of a man I am. I was not interested in nic level from the very beginning. (So it is hard to find liquids here and you have to get what you can find) BUt as soon after as I learned vaping I got a litre of VG (for food industry) And I put liquid in the clearo and dilute with VG until I find it to my liking. Even now after 8 months I cant say the level of my nic. (It must be around 5-6)

This is, I am not trying to quit. I did not begin to quit anyway but I quit smoking.
I am not working on anything I am enjoying it
I always get 24 mg/ml liquids But I always dilute to my desire. sometimes more sometimes less (Just like smoking I dont remember a day I smoked excesively and say I got too much nicotine in my system)
why fight with it we dont smoke anymore why the fuss to get it down to 0 nic? It will come to an end some day. you will need less and less and ask yourself what are you doing?
Enjoy your day my friend you are less with cigarettes and the important part is that.

You might be going a little too fast. Take it slow. I would advise to try and cut down on the vamping a little first and then slowly drop down on nic. Try mixing the juice to get a level that your comfortable with. I started at 24mg and am now down to 4mg. It's taken a while to get there. I did it in a step process. When I first started I too vaped all the time. I made an effort to try and not vamp so much. I would actually set a time on when I could vape again. Once I got comfortable with that then I mixed an 18 mg with a 24 mg and then just slowly dropped down. I am now at a point where I think I could stop if I wanted to. Just don't want to yet. Maybe one day, but it's sooo good, LOL

Great self control!! Seems a bit unnecessary to me though. I started vaping with halo products and now I'm STUCK on rda and making my own coils. LOVING the power hits and just vaping in general. I constantly find myself having vaped too much nicotine but fifteen minutes later all the effects are gone. and as far as quitting goes.. I really don't see any reason to quit vaping, especially if someone has cut down to almost no nic.

That's why I DIY I can step it down slowly .
Best wishes
it's why I'm becoming one, because the store bought juice levels are too big of a step....I know 6mg is not gonna do it for me, but I think I can step off the 12mg....10 would be nice but doesn't seem available anywhere...so next option is DIY
:)
