Happened to go into my physical 2 weeks after I quit smoking and picked up the e-cig instead, last week. I didn't bother saying anything about it until the Dr asked if he could do anything to help me quit smoking. I told him that I had taken up vaping and hadn't had a cig since. Without even batting an eye he says, "so you are a non-smoker, Im checking you off in the records as a former smoker."

Im so excited! Of course we talked about eventually eliminating the nicotine use but he was 100% supportive of my choice to use the e-cig. Guess it hasn't really hit home that I am NOT a smoker anymore.

My PCP is very supportive. I knew I had to quit analogs because of complications to a lifelong medical condition. My PCP has told me he would rather see me addicted to NRT's or other stop smoking products rather than analogs. Over the last 5 years I've tried just about everything to quit , everything failed. Vaping was the answer! My PCP is happy I'm not smoking anymore & so am I.

My PCP was supportive when I saw him last. He said he hadn't seen much success with ecigs but I don't think he's up to date on all the new tech. I'm pretty sure he's thinking of the cigalikes. I'm going to take mine with me the next time and maybe educate him a little bit. He's a good Dr. and seems to be open minded and really cares about your health.

My mother is a physician and initially when I started vaping and kicked analogs, she was ecstatic, proud and relieved; she used to tell me all the time, you have no idea how many patients of mine have respiratory problems and cancer due to smoking. I work now as a medical assistant, and try to "share the love" (off the record, of course), whenever I come across a smoker who's looking to quit because it has certainly helped me A TON.

That's great. I really love to see support for us vapers, especially by the medical community. Some may not agree it is best but all I know is I NEVER thought I would stop smoking regular cigarettes. I have been smoking since I was 14. I am 29 now and my father died in his early 50's from smoking. That really started to scare me....Vaping has allowed me to stop.
