26ga temco Kanthal, I dry burn, rinse, rewick once a week or so (I run a few mods at a time, rotating throughout the day). I rebuild some times every month (because I feel like building) or sometimes I'll go a few months if the coils still look decent after a dry burn/rince. I don't really watch my resistance too closely. I've gone past where the coils where coming out clean before, and it just starts to taste bad, so I stopped doing that
vaping DIY - mostly lighter liquids with no added sweeter - vanilla caramel butterscotch custard, vanilla caramel tobacco absolute ry4, andies mint (3 different juices, not all mixed together.. eww lol) andies is darker and has some sweeter, all high VG.
I get a couple dryburns before I replace my single wire builds, mostly 28 gauge. Its almost just as fast to whip up a new build than burn and scrape a old coil. My wife's claptons are a different story. Her 28/30 clapton coil is probably 6+ months old and I'm able to remove it from the subtank RBA, clean it then put it back. I have 2 built for her so she never goes without. She tootle puffs a couple weeks out of a clapton build since her juices are a sweeter than mine. My juices are mostly Hangsen tobacs so they don't gunk coils but I've had some contest winnings that after 2 tanks I was all gunked up, I feel sorry for those who vape gunky juices. Dryburning creates excessive heat that takes its toll on rubber insulators in time so replacing is a better way rather than reusing. Most over dryburn, all you have to do is barely make it red then scrape with something pointy and rinse the cooties out when your done.
