I clean my drip tips once a week. Today I took your advice and cleaned them all. Can you tell me why it might help to use a clean one a couple times a day?

Update :) Things are working. I was in fact licking my lips way more. I am trying to get used to inserting the tip into my teeth to keep it off my lips should anything be coming from that. It is hard so I am very conscious of it. I found at one point the lips were starting to get dry and I ignored the lip balm because I was busy and before I knew it I was licking them. So I am keeping more lip balm on than usual. I have vaped 1/2 tank today. YAY By the time I end tonight I can see 3/4 tank. Of course it is a Kanger mini II. They don't hold much but it is more than I did yesterday.

Thank you all! :vapor:

I had the same issues when I started vaping. I switched from high PG content juice to juices that were higher in VG.
within days my lips were back to normal and I haven't had any issues since. Try using higher VG and see if this helps.

When I got the Protank 3 had to switch out the metal tip after a few days. Never liked it to begin with... Plastic not only has a better feel but it will not transfer that heat to your lips and dry them like a metal tip does. My PT3 heats up A LOT with how I vape. My job requires traveling through a hot warehouse at 10+MPH for 12+ hours a day so I'm always using some sort of lip balm.

I had the dry problem for a while. I had it whether using plastic or metal tips, but plastic does not peel skin off your lips as much. I did wake up with an extremely dry mouth and did not have the problem in the afternoon or evening. Now I just up my water intake before the first vape of the day. I think my body has also adjusted on its own after a while.

I really upped using the lip balm today and it has helped a lot. I am having a problem with the drip tips tonight. I have 3 mini pro tank II, and I have 3 510 atty's for dripping. The plastic drip tips for the 510's seem to be too large to go into the mini pro tanks. ONE fits the other two don't and the are supposedly identical. I guess I'll be on a search to find plastic drip tips to fit. One just won't cut it for long.

I like your idea of increasing the water intake before the first vape of the day. I'll be trying that too. No vaping until the morning coffee is done until I get adjusted. Coffee, then water and vaping! Thanks

Go with glass instead of plastic. These fit the mini PT. I'm fairly tough on things and have broken many glass drip tips but these are sturdy and have so far lasted me for months:
510 Mega Pyrex Drip Tip, Clear

+1 on this -- my glass driptips are my favorites, along with the one ceramic one I have. The smoothness of both glass and ceramic is very pleasing, and it's a familiar feeling obviously; and they don't heat up nearly as fast as metal or plastic. And you can soak glass tips in vinegar without damaging them; I tried that with jade, not realizing that jade was a good deal softer; it nearly dissolved the thing!
