hi i have a dse 905 v1 which works great so i bored out the battery hole to allow 2 cr2 batts for 6v vaping but it does not work tried many different ways
1 switch on put together nothing
2 switch off put together nothing
3 switch on arc threads led flash put together led stays on nothing

is their a workaround for this or is it the dreaded rubbish v1 syndrome l;ol

Ok here is how I "Modded" my 905:

Standard 905:

Dissasembled, and dremel sanding wheel you need:

Sanding the body out:

There is only approx 1/2" of material that needs to be honed out:

Top piece, the grey plastic lining needs to have 1/4" removed from the bottom next to the contact point:

Top piece after rubber has been cut out with an xacto knife:

Now once all pieces have been modified, the 2 CR2 batteries will go in and make contact with the top contact point.

Thats it...

Hope this helps in case anyone missed a step. Once the batteries are inserted the light should blink rapidly and then go out. The unit is now ready to be used.

Don't forget to cut the rubber out of the top piece. This allows the battery to make contact and fit properly.

nice tut dan i sadly dont have the v2 or v3 mine is a v1 and sadly wont work i think as the battery protection is built into the mod not the batts and its overloading it
