I agree that Trog, the RN atomizers when used with a cart perform perfectly and consistently.
Dripping into the cart works better than dripping into the pot in the case of my screwdriver.

dripping into a small 901 type atomizer is just to fiddly to get right and has to be done too often.. topping up the carts works well and dosnt have to be done so often.. the real difference we notice between cooler and hotter is that hotter needs to be less precise..

cooler is more easy to get too wet and put the fire out... the same happens as atomizers wear out.. they get very critical to get the wetness factor just right..

chuck whatever u like at the hot ones and they just blast the vapour out.. but and there is always a but.. they run down the battery quicker and taste nasty when let get too dry..

win some lose some.. compromise is what e cigs are about.. a trade off between battery run time.. atomizer life and other things.. improve one thing at the expense of another thing...

the other factor u need to take into account is the more vapour produced the more liquid is used.. often the cart wont feed the atomizer wool fast enough.. this increases the need to keep topping up.. light use okay.. heavy use not okay..

trade offs and more trade offs..

the bottom line here is that these things are simple and crude devices.. the makers feed techno babble at the users and the users fall for it..

a little piece of wick with hot wire wrapped around it boils some liquid.. very crude and very simple.. the rest is just makers techno babble..

and its all powered by a battery that isnt big enough..

its like when you buy a bmx, you can either buy a bike that looks like a bmx but is actually made with crap components that break easy or you can buy an actual bmx with strong well designed components that do what they are supposed to do.

currently we dont have the option to buy an atomizer that is made of strong well designed components just the ones that should be described as being cheap copies of a good one. but this good one doesnt exist. when someone does invent a well built atomizer i will buy them in spades.

sorry for the bmx analogy but i just recently had to source a good kid's bmx for a nephew of mine which i found incredibly difficult on account of the amount of cheap junk suppliers were trying to pass as a bmx. that's all they stock for kids - the ones that come with a warning that advise you not to attempt any tricks or stunts. what horse.

the problem is DC the entire industry had been based on something it isnt.. high tec wizardry.. people fall for it and it sells the products..

we just pulled one of the infamous e cig atomizers apart.. its the same as a normal atomizer minus the pot and the wire wool..

the little heater coil just sits smack bang in the middle of the cart wool.. there is a tube to enable air to be drawn thru the wool and go past the heater coil..

the problem.. they are pretty much having to sell it at no profit to make any sense.. it cost too much to make simply to throw away a couple of times a day..

the money is made in the same idiot way loong totem tried.. over priced batteries.. a battery similar to the 901 but priceed from china at $24 dollars..

they make little or no money on the cart/atomizers but hope to make money on the pissy little batteries that will wear out very two minutes..

$24 dollar batteries make this mini just as much a no no as the loong totem one.. another f-cking stupid idea from the chinese makers..

we have an S/D called a Black Jack thats takes the throw away atomizers but might have problems cos it isnt simply a generic.. we also think its just a flash in the pan that will soon disappear..
