Dual coil airholes?

I want to build a dual coil, but I dont know how to go about drilling a new hole. Any advice?

Drill press and a piece of wood with a V cut in it to keep the cap from spinning out from under the drill bit - Make sure the second hole will line up properly with the second coil when the original hole is lined up properly on the original coil (wrap masking tape around it to make marks on it)
