Been vaping this all night and loving it. Dual 2.0Ω coils, 30g Kanthal A-1, micro coils with cotton ball wicks. Combined resistance reads 1.0Ω. Running a fresh AW IMR 18650, the voltage under load reads 3.66v at the posts. That's roughly 13 watts. I drilled a second air hole for the Reomizer cap and they line up directly at the coils. Its a nice warm vape, and pumps out thick clouds. There is the slightest delay heating up, but its only really noticeable from a cold start. I can't really say that this is in any way better than a single 1Ω coil, but my Reomizer wasn't seeing much use lately and I had some free time tonight...

Those are some excellent looking coils. I am going to give that a shot on my REOmizer when I gets here. Looks sweet.

How was it with one air hole?

I wouldn't recommend this setup with just the single air hole. When I tried it that way it just wasn't satisfying in the least. You could possibly try stacking the coils, either in the center, or the sidewinder, but one on top of the other. I've seen that done with silica wicks through the coils and a piece of loose silica sandwiched between the coils to isolate them from touching each other.

I've tried that too, but didn't drill a second airhole. That was horrible.

Tried coils next to each other (one above the other), still not enough air for them

Tried one coil with two wires (kind of like two springs screwed together). That was pretty good, but PITA to set up

Two wires twisted together work pretty good as well. Now I'm waiting to just buy a thicker wire to try more wraps and more heating surface. Should produce comparable results to dual coil, for less trouble :)

but how much vape do you need or really hope to accomplish?

The only answer is more. Much more...because you can?

PBusardo posed an interesting argument during a rant in a recent review. When I smoked nails, I never tried to maximize my cloud. It was just the stuff I burnt to get my fix - now that I vape I tweak and chase big clouds because I can. Should I? Probably not, but I will because I can.

i run dual coils on a Reomiser - the vape i like is dead on 1 Ohm. 2 wires together and some fat silica wick and it's easy. Cut off 4 inches of wire and put a loop in the middle and fold it back on itself. Wrap it on said silica - i use very fat cos it's easier to wrap on.

4 wraps of 32g kanthal is bang on for me. Blowtorch the lot.

Trim one tail longer - the one you'll put thru the post first and fit the 2 wires from that leg in there - not too bad was it?

Now turn the wick to align the end with the loop in it and then chop that loop off - whack those 2 wires in the other post!

The fact you blowtorched the lot means the silica will fray less as you cut it to fit the cup.

Thanks to Commie for the feasibility of this. Works like a charm!
