This dual coil thing is going to run it's course and either fade or get better only depending on Smoketech and what there engineers decide to do with this, like I said I spoke to one of there sales people and have him asking the Engineers some questions for me so that will put an end to this whole thing and settle my thoughts down a bit once answered, hopefully today or tomorrow I get those answers and who knows maybe they wont answer and keep what they know to themselves, I would.

Never the less,

To tell ya all the truth here, I'm much more interested in what Issac himself has in his own pipeline under Development.

Moving forward the Original 5 Beta testers I think are more interested in Issacs personal pipeline of development and trying some of the newer products he has been working on that are under development, I know I am.!!! I really thoroughly enjoy doing the Beta stuff for Issac and feel fortunate about being able to do this and to be a part of this Beta team. Issac's stuff is over the top awesome so I'm not going to be taken out of place here and disrupted because of one new product by some other company. I want to be more on top of what Issac has under development since so many of the products Issac puts on his shelf for sale are of pure awesomeness, and this Beta testing of new product by those 5 who do it and report back with a thread about each and every new product is really such a great way to do this and comparing notes to see what needs tweaking or what doesn't then a final product is either approved and put on the shelf for sale or it's not with of course Issac having the final word after all it is his candy store:blush: This test system is by far the best out of any other vendors that I have seen no one else does this and the bottom line is it has worked, hence it's only "one of" the reasons Iken Products have been tops.

I have to agree with you MWA and another thing he did was pick people that knew something about testing. Other vendors seem to use their testing program as a contest to see who gets to do it whether they're qualified or not. But then that's why their products have a high failure rate.

With the dual coil though I think it's like everything else, one mans treasures is another mans trash. One carto will please so many and another won't. Isaacs cartos just have the engineering and knowledge behind them to be the best. He doesn't just pick a carto idea and say hey that would be cool, He listens to his customers wants and needs and then builds the carto around that. But that's the reason his cartomizers lead the industry in performance.

Well, based on this thread (I just got a 5 pack of the DC cartos and have been mostly happy with them - no failures and only the usual carto issues) I just ordered 10 cartos from IkenVape. I also ordered more of the DC cartos, based on my experience with the first package. I guess I'll do a vape-off and see which type hits my sweet spot best.

I've got a ProVari and find that 4.3 volts is good with the DCs that I've used. My battery life isn't what it was using the tank, but it also isn't down as low as I thought it would be. I still get most of a day out of an 18650. I'm not hugely thrilled with the idea of refilling as often as I've had to, but refilling a few times a day beats replacing cracked and leaking polycarbonate tubes twice a month.

Well guys, we gave in and had them made
I promised myself to stay away from them, but figured since we're already doing the take on an E2 while retaining the throat hit, Why not try a hand at DC. I have the smaller single coil SC in the 1.6 area and also the Mega with DC displayed below to go out for Beta testing also the 510 Cannons are here and will be making their way over in 4 variations of 1.8-2.0-2.5 and HV 3.5.I'm thinking on making all available for purchase in an attempt for a mass beta so we can take in as much as feedback as possible. The picture below is a DC Mega that topped out at 55 drops,. We used the same formation as the Mega but with 2 horizontal coils. I noted a spot that needs to be worked on, but really they're amazing to use.

Man, I really want to try those cannons. Now this is a very informative thread, but my only question is, What is the purpose of dual coils? I mean, what is trying to be achieved with dual coils(flavor, throat hit, or vapor production)? That is that the fusion hasn't already done? :confused:Hey maybe a LR fusion for 3.7 vaping? Just curious!

What I have noticed is that having two coils gives the carto two places to draw juice from and in turn they seem very hard to burn in my experience, flavor has been ok but the throat hit has been the best i have used.

@Isaac, I am pumped to here this man, I would much rather buy these from you than anyone else. Thanks! The only issue I have had with the clear ones are that I am hard on things and I loosed the tube by pulling off my drip tip and or sitting on them so hopefully beta will go well and you can eventually get the steel tube ones as well. When you mentioned mass beta were you speaking about just the variations of the cannons or the dualies as well?

My wife and I have been using IKV Fusions, Mega-808's and the duel coil cartos while phasing out everything else I have in my arsenal. I love the Fusions and 808's and am still trying to decide if I like the dc's.

I think I bought some of the very first duel coils when they first came out, so I probably have as much experience using them as others who have tried them. My point to all this is that I would be pleased to purchase IKV duel coils to evaluate/test them.

I'll be watching for them to be available from IKV.

Sweet! I'm really enjoying the new CE2's with the new wick design but improvements from you would surely make them amazing. They still have some slight wicking issues (which I now believe is do to the width of the cuts in the ceramic cup) but they are certainly better than the older wick models I've tried and disliked. I love my HV 306 I got from you. That thing is damn near impossible to flood. Which is good for me because I'm bad with that. lol

The option of a HV dual coil is intriguing. I hear they're awesome at 6v, but the HV device I have is VV and reads the dual coil as a 1.5 LR atomizer so I haven't been able to try it. Until now...

EDIT: Wait, am I misreading this? Will there be HV dual coils or was that in reference to another product?

Any chance you'll be doing those in a non-plastic version? I love the idea of being able to see what's left, not so in love with the idea of the plastic breaking off and leaking fluid all over the place, as has happened with every clearomizer I've tried.
