Hi guys first time post but long time lover of ikenvape. i have some of his 306s and i absoultley love his gold v2 cartomizers.
anyways i was wondering if their are any plans in the works for a dual coil carto from iken vape.
i have heard great things of the smoketekk brand i think? and would love to get my hands on a ikenvape version as im sure the build and quaility would be superior bar none.
ideas?
comments?
thx for taking the time to read

I hope to see these as well. Isaac can make these better than what they are now thats for sure. they seem to have a taste that i cant place. Ikenvape cartos dont have that taste.

It's probably burning filler material. The idea around the dual coil really just leaves more room for error, in my opinion. However, I would still try it (but since I'm an atty kind of guy now - I won't buy them lol)

I'm running some IKV RY4 in a dual coil from another vendor and they're good, but not really amazing. Initially, the vapor was tremendous, but for me it sorta trailed off a little. Did you have the same experience or is it just the sweet taste?

I had to experiment a little with the duel-coils on my Buzz and for me they seems to work best at 6v. No burnt taste and good vapor and flavor.

Now if Ikenvape came out with these I'm certain they would be even better! They might as well do it cause these things aren't going to go away.

Yeah; true. It's one more item out there to add to the subjective-ness. It will give people another choice - but I wonder just how big they're going to get.

I haven't had one burn yet and I'm running them on my Buzz anywhere from 3.7-6v. None fried so far.

I heard (of course I don't know this) that the dual coil cartomizers double the resistance for HV vaping. Like I said, I don't know but I do know that I can run the dual coil 1.5 carts at 6v...

EDIT
Found a link: "What is important about series resistances is that they add. If you double the length of a resistor, its resistance doubles. "

Not sure if it's relevant or not.

I've seen some of the dual coil cartos are made with the coils in parallel, two resistors with the same resistance in parallel results in half the resistance.

Sorry bout the thread and run lol. No Internet at the house. No I haven't got a chance to try them yet so if any body doesn't like theirs and has an extra or two I could try Id be much obliged. I originally asked because ikens cartos run better. Taste better and just last. I don't even wanna think what kind of volts a 3 coil carto could take lol

I have to admit ever since obtaining one from Vapefest it has been on my mind. Mwa was talking about using 3-4 filaments actually lol I just don't know if it's really that worth it. I mean, if you think about it' it doesn't really perform "better" than others and it does increase the chance by 100% of failure in a sense. The idea is on the board, but not next in line. Ruppy's idea was a Mega 3ml Fusion which I think would hold greater success. The 510 Cannon is in production and next in line is tapping into the Clear market ;)

Isaac, I tested a few of them and I'm not too impressed. I know that their resistance is 1.5Ω, I checked, but there is something else going on with those two 3.2Ω coils running parallel. The vape is oddly cool on my eGos; it picks up a bit on 3.7v, but still cooler than your Premium Platinums. And they mow through the batteries like nobody's business. And the QC is pathetic. Half of them don't work or work very poorly.

Someone described them as vaping two 3.2Ω cartos at the same time... This pretty much mirrors my experience. But they sure don't burn. I'm still on the fence...

We need Switched to explain to us why on earth would a 1.5Ω carto run cooler than a 2.0Ω and a 2.5Ω one. :D

That we do Katya,
That definitely sounds like an oddity. When I asked MV about the ratings, the man I spoke to had no idea (Not Mark) he said that they're all different which would make no sense. I didn't get a chance to exclusive;y run one yet, but for it to run cool and yet demand so much from a battery is very odd indeed. It sounds unstable. Ugh you don't need to talk about Smoketech's Qc, I picked up a user replaceable battery Ego and it's just horrible, acting up from the very first puff at Vapefest. Total waste. Mwa picked up one as well and went to get it replaced the next day.
