I should clarify. Im getting zero burnt taste from clearo's. So far they are my favorite. The issue is. (and this didnt happen until i got juice from madvapes.com) when im vaping them. They get juice in the air tube. I'm getting burnt taste from the CE2s that i just got from gotvapes.com today. Even after letting them sit i cant vape them for more than 2 hits before they get burnt taste. My vivi novas arent getting burnt either. they just constantly get juice in the air tube when vaping.
Thank you guys for all of your help so far.
The vivi nova will get juice in the center if your head is not on tight. I had this happen a couple time when I was in the "getting to know it stage" Take the top off, pour your juice into something, empty bottle fine. Than clean up all your juice, take the head off put it to the side. Make little tissue paper twists and clean out the tube , you can rinse it if its really flooded, dry everything off except your head. Now that all is clean. Take the little silicone cap off, remember how the little metal cap thing is, rounded side up towards you, flat part facing the head. Now twist the head on your center post, give it a good twist, make sure it is snug, dont over tighten. Now put the silicone cap on the head. Now put your tank onto the bottom cap. Fill your tank and make sure you dont get juice down the center or on the top of the head, as it will flood the center post again. Now this is the tricky part, as you screw on the top, sometimes the turning will turn the head along with it and thats when you get the flooding. Twist the top cap on snug, but do not over turn. Wait a few minutes so your wicks are saturated. When you start in haling, start with short soft puffs. Let it all get saturated and wet, do this for a few more puffs and start to take longer slow puffs. VIVis dont seem to like real long fast hard draws, heats them up and drys the wicks out.
I had the flooding happen to me alot and kept wondering what the heck was going on. Till I read on another thread that sometimes as you twist the cap on it loosens the head and you get juice all down the center. With the vivi novas its all about the airflow, Do not over tighten things. Take it slow till the heads and new wicks break in. If you want more and larger plumes you might try making the vents larger, but again, when modding take it slow and dont make changes in large steps. If this doesnt work than I would return the Vivi and get another one, it might just be a dud, with all the huge production of these Im sure there are a dud or two around.
I tried royal smokers CE 2 and found them too twitchy. Again like the vivi and other atty type devices you have to take long slow draw and keep the atty wet. If you chain vape or dont keep them saturated they will start to heat up your juice and sometime the juice gets real dark and caramelized and you get clogging and a burned taste.
I do some dripping but I cant get into it as I am a chain vaper, constant dripping blah blah, its nice but not as as my all day method. I like the vivi they taste and perform close to atties and dripping. I love my tanks and cartos. It took me a bit of experimenting on getting the holes down.
There are a few variables as to why your cartos are flooding. I had that happen from either too many holes or I actually made my holes so deep they punctured the little center area that keeps the juice from getting in. The cartos themselves had issues, Boge was going thru some major problems causing me alot of headaches and stress, I would either flood or they would not wick, I thought what the heck am I dong wrong, well It was not all me, boge had alot of bad batches out there.
You didnt mention or dont remember what type of juice you use. If you are using cartos some juices have a harder time. What resistance are you using on your device ? Let me know if you have other questions as this is becoming an essay.
