Ive often wondered as many here have at one time or another, but why do atomizers sometimes spit hot juice ? I can only imagine that maybe its too much liquid on the coil? I happens occasionally, now that I use rebuildable atomizers with juice control, but once in a while it does but I close the juice control a bit and it seems to go away.

I remember when I was trying out basic 510 atomizers of various qualities etc. Seems they either spit a lot or got drier hits. It used to happen on my Vivi Novas a lot also. I dont use ether anymore mostly because of this. SO many people use traditional atomizers to drip in and the VNs.

maybe they're trying to tell you something....like quit pulling on me like I am a cigarette....I do think a lot of people have problems vaping until they realize that it calls for a technique that is different than analogs. some devices require a learning curve. actually, all devices require a learning curve but that is part of the fun of trying new stuff and vaping( at least for me).

Only time I've had that happen, it was a bad atty. It shot juice the on the first vape...

I've had it happen when the wick was not thick enough to completely make contact with all interior surfaces of the coil. :)

It's a delicate balance...

To little wick = sizzles
To much wick = choke

With my microcoils that's the only time I get spitting, when I have too little cotton threaded through it.

I'm still working on trying to find a standard length and width of cotton that will fit in my 1/16" coils perfectly so that I can cut a bunch up ahead of time. I'm getting a little better at estimating it but it's still pretty much trial and error.

i think its when the wick is too saturated to hold any more juice, the excess sits on the surface of the wick--more so if its high VG juice--and also the coils. the initial heat from the coils causes it to sizzle off. sub-ohms explode it off. really nice!

i wish i had a better camera to catch a fresh juiced coil pop n sizzle off vapor. my favorite part of rebuilding :2cool:
