1. Is there a PCC that will hold at least 1 510 battery and 2 510 cartomizers? The cignot PCC I have has a slot for extra battery that fits 1 cartomizer, but I am looking to hold 2.
2. When you use the condom method to fill the cartomizer, do you insert the threaded side into the liquid or the mouthpiece side? If you use the mouthpiece side, do you remove the cap? I am confused because I have seen both methods and don't know which one to use. When using the threaded side I notice the cartomizer only lasts a very short amount of inhalations. I have not had time to test using the mouthpiece side but did notice it only absorbed on that side with the cap still on.
3. How many times is a good time to refill a cartomizer before you throw it out?
4. Is there a mega sized cartomizer for the 510? If so where can I get it and how many drops of E-liquid do you need for it?
5. If I hated the taste of any cigarette that doesn't have menthol, is it safe to assume I will not like any exotic flavored e-liquid like cinabon or orange creamsicle unless I mix the liquid with some kind of menthol based e-liquid?
Thanks for any help.
1) I don't use PCCs and wouldn't. The Volcano PCC that I used for a week or so at the beginning ended up being worthless. I switched to using only eGo batteries (from the cheap-quality 510 batteries that needed to be recharged every 1/2 hour to 2 hours) and have been happy ever since.
2) I used the condom method for about three weeks and put the mouth end (with the white caps still on) into the condom. Then I realized that I was using the condom as a middleman, that it was more time-consuming, and it was messier, so I quit using the condoms and started directly dripping into the filler from the mouth end, after removing the white mouth cap with a large paper clip. When refilling, I drip 10 to 15 drops into the filler, depending on how empty the carto is. When filling new cartos, I drip 20 to 24 drops into the filler. I drip all drops into the same spot, while holding the carto at a 45-degree angle. This method forces the liquid to drain into the filler quicker, compared to moving the carto around and dripping into different spots into the filler. The direct drip method is the quickest method I've found to fill cartos, and there's no mess to clean up after the carto(s) are filled.
Now, I don't even keep the white mouth caps on the cartos, because I started using drip tips for mouthpieces. I don't drip into them, but they feel better in my mouth, compared to the end of the cartos. I love the stainless steel drip tip from litecigusa.net. It's expensive but worth it to me.
3) I've been rotating 15 to 20 cartos in the last seven weeks. I vape a lot, so I have to refill each carto about every hour (because I don't vape them until I get the burnt taste...just until there is less flavor and vapor). I'll refill about 12 cartos every day, and 15 to 20 cartos will last at least four weeks doing this, before they get a funky taste that doesn't go away after flushing them (using the method I've described in one of my two blogs).
4) As Shan said, the only Mega carto I know of is for the eGo. I tried a box of five of them and didn't like them that well. You have to fill them using a syringe and needle, it's messy, and I could only vape each one for about 1/2 hour before I got the burnt taste, even though the eGo Mega cartos will take 2mL of liquid. So, I quit using them and only use the Boge 510 soft cap and KR808D-1 cartos. I had to buy 510-battery to 808/901-atomizer adapters (at goodprophets.com for 99 cents each) to use the KR808D-1 cartos, but those cartos produce more flavor and more vapor than the Boge 510 cartos. I'll be using only the 808 cartos after my Boge 510 cartos have been discarded in the future.
5) I never smoked menthols..hated them, so I doubt that I can answer this. But my friend, who only smoked menthols and recently quit smoking to start vaping, didn't like the Volcano menthol liquid I let her try. She is now vaping only my mixture of RY4, Caramel, Nut Mix, and Apple liquids (all mixed together with about 10% or less of Glycerin added - the percentage is based on personal preference, and I'm still experimenting with it...currently using about 2%, and I'm happy with that, because I have more flavor using less Glycerin). If you're interested, Humco Glycerin (same as VG-vegetable glycerine) is available from Walmart on the shelf above the isopropyl alcohol products in the pharmacy section for $3 for a six-ounce bottle and helps to add vapor, dilutes the flavor, dilutes the nicotine strength, and helps to blend the liquids, so you don't want to add too much Glycerin. The reason I add Glycerin is because I order liquids with 100% PG (I like throat hits and more flavor). VG = more vapor, PG = more flavor, more throat hit
Personally, I tried some fruit and tobacco flavors from various liquid suppliers and didn't like any of them. I love the dark, smoky taste of the RY4 mixed with caramel apple and nuts.
Sorry this is so long, but I tend to include a lot of details sometimes.
