I had my big shop doors open on a windy day. I went to take a hit off my PV, and held it to my mouth with one hand, cupped the end with the other hand to shield it from the wind, and stood there totally dumbfounded at what to do next. Somehow, in my mind, lighting a cigarette in the wind and taking a hit off my PV got mixed together. It took a few seconds before I clued in that I just had to hit the button, and that it didn't need to be shielded from the wind. Quite a few seconds, something like a five-one thousand count before I hit the button.

<snip> 2. Had it on my lap in the car; get out and it hits the asphalt. My e-cig looks like a shark after a fight... <snip>

Spoken like a Californian...lol. I'm trying to picture that e-cig. Guess I'll have to watch more Shark stuff on TV.... ;)

Like some others, I switched to e-cigs over a few weeks. Smoking and vaping. Like some others, I ALMOST lit the e-cig once. Caught myself tho. Tossed the lighters in a drawer when I tossed the last empty pack of cigs in the trash......

I've got a few.

I got the bright idea to take apart the switch on a Chuck and replace it. I ended up sending it back to the builder in a ziploc bag to keep all the little pieces together.

When you put a MAP tank on a 6v device, the low resistance atty makes a gloriously bright flash as it dies.

Calculated the amount of nic in my first batch of DIY wrong. Knew I messed up when I got sick like when I first started smoking. Recalculations revealed I had mixed 50mg juice.

When I first started vaping I ruined not one but two 808 batteries by filling the carto on the batt.
I also snapped the connection side off of one sitting on it while it was in my back pocket.
I drop my Provari all the time off my lap standing up. I do the same with my UltraMax but it's mechanical and that's is exactly why I got it.
And finally and so far the most painful. I tend to blow out my Attys between flavors. Well as much of you know LR Attys especially my favorite ones, Cisco LR 510,dont like to run dry. Well for some reason I still check to see if the flavor is out from time to time after blowing out the previous juice. I've lost a few good ones this way. pop goes the atty.

One time I was left alone to fend for myself, while my wife and kids were visiting her parents. Well I was vaping and waiting for my laundry to finish its cycle in the washer, and when it was finally finished I opened up the washer... and the first thought crossed my mind was "YOU GOTTA BE FREAKING KIDDING ME!!!!"..... Yep you guessed it, my clothes went through a 20+ minute wash with me forgetting to put detergent in prior to starting the machine! HOW STUPID

vaping always distracts me :)

Not so much anything I did but something funny that happened to me. A couple weeks ago my first mod had arrived. I also received some new mod batteries. I had spent the day reading about battery safety and all the horror stories that abound.

So I went into the kitchen for a drink and took my mod with me. I was taking a draw as I turned on the kitchen light and the bulb decided, at that moment, to blow out and spark. I thought I had blowed myself up real good.

Thank goodness the bathroom is nearby is all I can say. So be careful vaping and turning on your lights.

The fist two weeks I started vaping, I was using carts. When I was pulling out loose foam threads that got stuck to the inside of the atty I was also pulling out wick fibers. I couldn't figure out why there was so much fiber coming out! Needless to say, these attys lasted no more than a week. Lol.

I use drip tips now, semi idiot proof. ;)
