Dying Seven-22, now what?

I knew this mod had serious design flaws when purchased but hoped it would last more than a couple months. Problem went from occasional to often, shutting down now after a few hits, even with full battery. Reboot, repeat, gets tiresome. Guessing some kind of internal short.

Thing is, I really like the feel, the looks, the overall styling of the mod. Could just keep replacing it but would rather find a long term solution. One possibility is to convert to mechanical.

Was wondering if anyone has had any success repairing or modifying their dead or dying Seven-22. Curious too, what was the lifespan of yours?

Sorry to hear that yours is going south. I picked up two of them a month or so back for ~$10 a copy. I've been using one of them almost daily since purchase.

While the KF4 clone I have mounted is only driven by ~7W, I've not had any issues with it. (I was using 15W but decided on seeing if I could make the battery last longer)
