I used to vape at my desk until one guy complained that the vapor burned his eyes, made his lungs hurt and his clothes reek from the smell. He complains about everything. The thing I find ironic is his wife smokes and he said it doesn't bother him. My boss said he wasn't comfortable with it and told my I couldn't use it in the building.

go to the restroom and get in a stall.. vape all you want. no smell..

That's my plan.

I'm also going to look in our company's intranet rules database and see if there are currently any policies *against* vaping, and if there aren't I will show the new device to my boss, call it an "electronic nicotine inhaler", demonstrate it outside, and ask if it would be permissible for me to use it in the lobby area (which has double doors to insulate it from the outside, but I can open them a few times to air it out if anyone complains) after hours as long as there is no one in the building from our customer if weather conditions are not conducive to going outside.

If not, I'll just stick to the bathroom and vanilla probably at work -- surely it can't smell worse than the air freshener everyone sprays!

My other female coworker at night is a smoker, so honestly the worst I'm afraid I'll get is from her. She's smoked Kools for years and might get jealous if she has to go out in the snow when I don't. Although I think if I tried I could probably vape in the stall and hold it in even if she was in the next stall, and she'd never know!

We'll see... oh, and i finally got movement on my package, it looks like it hit my local post office today... so I should get it today! Wooot!

I agree with the restroom idea.
I would never vape at my desk.

Just because it's vapor and not smoke, dont think for a moment that that
means anything to a over zelous anti-smoking fanatic, they will complain anyway, if for no other reason, because you are still releasing nic molecules into the air to potentialy be inhailed by an innocent non-smoker.

Even if you think the folks where you work are cool with it, it only takes one @sshole to complain and get you into trouble.

Just go find a nice secluded spot to enjoy vaping
