ALBANY — Gov. Cuomo has signed new laws to ban sales of electronic cigarettes in New York state to anyone under the age of 18.
Electronic cigarettes are battery-powered devices used to inhale vaporized liquid nicotine instead of tobacco smoke.

Banning them for kids makes them all the more legit for adults to use, I'd hope.

IIRC, that bill was originally authored to ban the sale of them outright but later got changed in committee or on the floor to only pertain to minors. Dodged a bullet with that one...

Nothing wrong with preventing sale to kids. This has been a voluntary stance of retailers. My main concern is the uneducated stance that "second hand vapor" is the same as "second hand smoke."

Personally, I don't see a problem with minors vaping from a health standpoint. My problem is that through people under 18 vaping will give off a bad image to anti-smoking, progressive zealots.
