Hi there, I'm a non-smoker and have been tying to find out what the most suitable e-cig would be for my boyfriend, but it all seems very confusing particularly to non-smoker such as myself. We're both students and he's said although he's interested he's not sure he can afford the starter kit, so I thought if I found something he'd like I could help start him off.

While he doesn't neccessarily want to quit he likes the idea of smoking inside the house without annoying me, other people and his landlord, so it might not become an entire replacement for cigarettes. Information that may be relevent is that we're in the UK, he smokes about 10 a day, but much more on a night out drinking, and he pretty much only smokes menthol cigarettes, but before he started smoking exclusively these he used to smoke lighter cigarettes. I've noticed that no starter kits come with menthol cartriges that I can find which is unfortunate. I also suspect he'd prefer one that looks more realistic, though I'm noticing from the reading I have done that this shouldn't be considered the most important factor.

Any information anyone can offer to help us out would be reallllly appreciated, there's just so much info its hard to know where to start!

You should get him on here to read the guides and stuff. Being a non-smoker and more plainly, just not being HIM.. you won't know what he needs to achieve for himself in smoking. Like a good throat hit and also what kind of cartridge is invovled (meaning he's going to be the one refilling them so there's the regular carts and the cartomizer, or maybe he'll prefer to drip straight onto the atomizer)

Anyway, a safe bet is the 510 because it is very popular and there is a very large following with those in case he'd need help in getting it to work right or finding replacement parts.

I myself don't necessarily want to quit, which is why I think the e-cig is a great alternative. While it can be used to rid yourself of nicotine addiction, it can also be used to keep getting that nicotine "high" that you desire without destroying your lungs (among other things).

Now to poke some fun-- in Europe, isn't menthol usually a lady's thing?? hehehehe. =P Traditionally it was, I don't know about anymore.

Anyway.. they're not all that expensive to begin with. The juice (flavor/liquid/watever you want to call it) is rather cheap, some have for US $4 for 30ml. and some starter kits for US $35. (which often include 2 e-cigs, the charger, and some free cartridges). Understand all cartridges are pretty much re-fillable, and you can even buy empty ones if he wouldn't want to smoke a non-menthol through before filling it with menthol.

Now I know you're in the UK, but.. I'm sure there are similar deals for about 35 GBP. OR if you're really lucky you can find a seller from the US that ships to the UK and... given the horrible value of the US dollar, save yourself about half if you can find a decent shipping price.

let it be known that I don't even have my e-cig yet.. but I'm able to convey this stuff to you because I've spent a lot of hours reading the forums. :)

You can get the Janty Dura/510 which is a great pv but I think you are best off just going for broke and buying the Janty eGo, If it looks great and has enough horsepower and performance then the person will want to use it more as opposed to just going for function only.

Janty Europe - EURO SHOP || Netherlands/Rest of Europe

You will find the mint liquids under the liquids tab. Get a strong mg nicotine to start out because switching to vapor won't do you much good if it does not get rid of the nicotine fit. They have the mint in 24mg.

Look this shop in UK

totallywicked-partner.tk

there you have starter kits. Mini or Titan models are the most popular to start.

i have a mini. and im happy with that model.

They have their version of the ego also called the tornado. I still say go for broke pay a bit extra and have something the person will really want to use. The Tornado is amazing.

If you or your boyfriend decide on a model you want to buy, you can find a list of suppliers from this master list. There are suppliers in the US and in the UK listed. It is the master of coupon codes that is part of this forum kept by a blogger. It was originally on this site but because of revision to character spacing had to be moved to another site.

Wow, that's a great thing to bookmark. I had wrote some sites off because of their prices, but now I see some places give as much as 40% off..... I guess I'll be revisiting some sites I cast aside....
