Hello there everyone. Wow, took me like an hour before I finally found out I gotta post some here first so I can post somewhere else around this forum. You guys should put it somewhere, where every new member can see this important trick right away.

Anyway ... may I have a question for you ? First I will try to explain my background and give u all possible needed info, so you (experienced) vapers could give me some answer.

I was never fully regular smoker. I started trying cigarets time to time like maybe 6 years ago (I'm 26 years old). I was always having only cigar while having party in pub from other friends, sometimes more, sometimes less. Also I would buy my favorite tobacco American Spirit while on journey (during summer mostly) and having like 5 max per day. After the summer I would stop.

But recently (like half a year) I started buying cigarets and smoking them pretty often (like a 20 cig per 14 days, sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less). So it scared me a bit and I decided to try ecig.

Recently (like a week ago) I bought eRoll joytech with Dekang Vapor flavor USA mix 18mg. Everything is just fine, except most important thing for me: I can't feel any effect of the nicotine it self. There are basicly 2 major effects I'm looking for. 1) Boost/more awereness 2) relaxation/feeling good. I just can't get any of these while smoking my eRoll.

Some guys told me maybe those effects were due to other chemicals in cigarets, but thats just cant be right for few reasons:

A) nicotine it self has those 2 basic effects (see wikipedia for example)
B) I was always able to get those 2 effects not even while smoking regular cigarets, but also while smoking my favorite tobacco (American Spirits) without additives and ALSO while having those small bags of tobacco in my mouth ... so .. it makes no sense.

Its even more strange since I can feel headache (a bit) after smoking ecig (which should me side effect of nic). Another thing which is strange is ecig is giving me pretty strong TH (I can feel how the steam 'hits' my throat quite heavily).

Anyone can help me out ? Should I buy another liquid ? Should I change my technique of e-smoking in some particular way ? Should I inhale more deeply ? Should I hold the steam from ecig inside my lungs longer ? Or is there something I don't know about nicotine effects ?!

Thx in advance, dissection ! I hope someone can help me out.

From what I gathered you want that buzz you get from cigarettes? If I'm correct in saying that then for a better chance to get that buzz you would want to buy 24mg liquid. I've smoked e cigs for about two years now and I only get a buzz every so often and they just come at random times. Also that throat feeling you get from the vapor is actually the nicotine, not the vapor. Hopefully this helped a little bit.

Well I will try different liquids. I will buy some with less nic and that one with 24mg so I can compare. Well buzz .. I dont know. It depends on individual definition of the term. I can try to explain. 1) One effect (the boost) is like I can concentrate more, be more focused (just a bit, but its working). 2) I can together with the first effect feel a bit relaxed. Cool. Ok. Its like u had good meal and now u just sit back and relax, but still can be focusing on reading stuff or something due to the first effect.

These two effects are the major reasons I ever smoked any cig or used any kind of tobacco. Now I cant feel these while smoking my ecig so Im bit sad :/

Maybe it could be something with the proper technique of vaping ? I just read you should be inhaling into lungs at all ?! Is it true ?

Thx

I would also recommend 24 mg nic like NoVaCain stated above. But I also recommend you buy some 18 mg nic and 24 nic of other eliquids to try instead of just one eliquid. Different eliquids provide different throat hit. Sometimes a certain flavoring can also affect throat hit, like cinnamon and menthol. Also, I have had good luck with the alcohol based organics for getting great TH from the alcohol base while being able to lower my nic. So for those reasons I strongly recommend you try various small samples of eliquid from different vendors that specialize in eliquids. Good Luck!

As far as how I vape or inhale, if I'm using a Vivi Nova or Protank type setup, I inhale into my mouth and then into my lungs. When I'm using a rebuildable, I vape directly into my lungs because they are usually an airier draw and work best with a direct inhale. You can try both techniques and see which you prefer on whatever you are using. There's no wrong way to vape because everyone likes different.

Hello there dissection,
Depending on what analog(s) you were smoking, it is generaly accepted that:
- Non nicotine: 0 mg nicotine, which equivalents to No Nicotine.
- Low density: 6 mg nicotine, which equivalents to Ultra Light Strength Cigarettes.
- Medium density: 12 mg nicotine, which equivalents to Medium Strength Cigarettes.
- High density: 18 mg nicotine, which equivalents to Regular Strength Cigarettes.
- XHigh density: 24 mg nicotine, which equivalents to Strong Cigarettes.
- XXHigh density: 36 mg nicotine, which equivalents to Very Strong Cigarettes.
- XXXHigh density: 48 mg nicotine, which equivalents to Super Strong Cigarettes.

Depending on your delivery system, ie. Cartomizer, Clearomizer, dripping, etc. it can, or seems to me anyway, to affect vapor and TH. For example, I used a cig-a-like at first, and it did little for me, I then moved up to a better battery and tank system, and it was a huge improvement, and much more satisfying.

I was getting strange feelings and slight headaches like you say, and found that my problem was too high of a PG ratio in my juice. I switched to less % PG and more VG, even using 100% VG much of the time.

Hope this helps you some. :)

This is great info. Answered a lot of my questions. Thanks!

one thing many notice is the ecig is not a replacement for smoking there are in fact many chemicals you are affected by with cigs, and poepl find out even with enough nicotine they still have to detox from the others.

with that said when I first switched the ecig I got came with 18mg and the bottle said high strength they told me it was the strongest they sold and was more then enough for a heavy smoker, a week later i found some 32mg and suddenly quit smoking that didnt last long and i went to 24mg then 18 now around 12.

there is also the efficiency of the delivery device, they dont all work the same and pack the same punch.
so for now I would say give the stronger nic a try, fight through the detox for a week or so by vaping more when the urge hits and then you will get what your looking for.

vaping is not smoking and your brain is going to know all those extra addictive chemicals are missing and it will not like it for a few days.

i love to chain vape but at the end of the day i have one tank i fire up after dinner watching tv with a cup of tea and the world melts away and i go dam thats a good vape.

Ok thx ! It is indeed possible my body is also looking for other chemicals. Anyway I think those chemicals are not acting that big of a role in those small bags of tobacco I mentioned and these are giving me those feelings (I mentioned) also very nicely (and pretty strongly).

Guys !

I just started googling and it seems my first liquid (that Dehang USA mix 18mg) has 80% PG (according to this site: http://www.topvapors.com/vapors-fla...liquid-e-juice-b-h-benson-hedges#.Ur3gQWTuLA0 and this site: http://www.e-liquid-e-liquid.com/#!tobacco-e-liquid/c21lc) !! Maybe hence those headaches ??
