First time I've seen such mainstream mention of an e-cigarette!!! The Monday Night Prime Time show Two Broke Girls shows one of the characters smoking an e-cigarette, and the other asks to try it, and the first one had a funny line about starting smoking at a very young age and not wanting to die of lung cancer in her teens as why she started smoking the e-cigarette! The character that tried the e-cigarette made a kind of stupid comment about it being hard to suck on and no pleasure, but, it was a mainstream mention, and a mention of how it can stop the cancer threat of cigarettes. Too bad they were using a little disposable type.

I seen it also, didn't much care for the line "If I'm going to suck on something this hard with no pleasure , I may as well date", I don't see that as good for vaping
That was my first reaction as well.

But seeing as how the line was just a joke, coming from someone who always makes jokes like that...
And seeing how it was coming from non-smoker who was just giving it a try...

It might not come off they way I first thought.

In other words, it may not cause a smoker to think the product isn't worth a try.
At least that is how I'm hoping it came off.

seems to me that everyone knows what this film is, is it a film or tv show?
It's a sitcom currently into it's second season.

The character using the electronic cigarette is new, but may be becoming a prominent character.
This was the first time she was shown using one, even though it's the second episode she's been in.

At this point it looks like she might become a recurring character.

I didn't like the last line of that either, BUT, overall, I did like the way the first character portrayed it, even if it was also in a humorous vein... it did state that she wanted to avoid getting cancer so she started using them. ALSO, I liked that even though the main character (second girl) said that, when her friend (the other main character) came in the room and saw her taking a hit on it, and said, STOP you'll get ... the first girl said "what, electrocuted?" in other words, it's not "dangerous" ... so while she made that last comment, overall, I think it was a good thing.

Yeah, that upstairs neighbor has been on the show several times, and even in the later apartment scene when she was nervous thinking her hunky client had died, she pulled out the e-cig... so here's hoping she keeps it up regularly. You never seen any vapor out of it though, lol. Probably partly due to the fact that it's an analog look alike, AND partly because it's more "PC" that way.

I havent seen the show but if they are showing an e-cig then either someone that produces the show or has a lot of pull is allowing them to be shown or a company is paying for them to be shown. Either way it's good for us. Remember that the JOKE also put a focus on the e-cig to bring it to the attention of veiwers. So I might be a bit slower to make any negitive comments about that.
Any prime time exposure is good in the long run

Agreed completely. I was thrilled to see it being portrayed, and largely in a positive light.:2c:

She was actually using it in her first appearance on the show too, and one of the lead characters said something to the effect of " . . . and you're smoking an electric cigarette . . . ." I meant to post this a few weeks ago but forgot.
