uggh trying to save my neighbors from themselves today...I TOLD them after changing their serpentine belt that their water pump was bad...they had to go get a second opinion from their paint and body man brother in law/brother...lol bad move...he finally came to the same conclusion and had already messed up the proper process to fix it...now her truck is a basket case and I will likely have to go to extremes to fix it properly...
why do people ask a fool to fix their car...
..he broke 3 parts and had them buy 2 parts that weren't broken...
is it because I am too nice and didn't want money for the work...the original problem unmolested by the dodo would have only taken me 20 minutes to fix...now it will take me a day or more.....

I know...but I try anyway...I figure sooner or later I will help someone at just the right place in their life to make a difference...
that's all I ask is that at some point in my life I truly make a difference...I may be broken but maybe broken can still change the world.....at least a little......
as to where have I been...well I managed to paint 10 panels of corrugated steel...find the right drill bit to make pilot holes to run roofing screws into the crappy chain link fence I have and mount 7 of them before going across the street to find my neighbors had created a catastrophe...and then try to undo it...she really did mess up her truck bad...and her brother made it so much worse...I will likely be trying to undo the damage tomorrow...sad........ a 20 min repair turned into a day maybe day and a half job....

Madman, you're obviously way more patient than me. I would have told them to take a hike.
Barbeque sounds good, but right now it central Texas that's getting barbequed. Fires all around, major evacuations in some areas and lots of homes destroyed.
No Nate I have gotten real good at hiding my desire to "choke some sense" into people...I know I likely cause the same feelings when I chew on my foot while talking...besides I could have worse neighbors...a year ago right next door I had a crazy woman who would come out whenever I was repairing my truck and rant and rave.....took my wife videotaping her behavior and showing it to cops to get them to tell her to leave me alone...so much for the Americans with disabilities act and me being a "protected" individual...and she was a counselor for a hospital and knows I have Aspergers...
cars, machines. and animals I understand People just baffle me...
Yeah, no danger where I am. Biggest dangers are areas where there's lots of trees or grasslands. There was several fires within a few miles of me, though. Two houses nearby were totally destroyed.
Hey Randy, I'm glad you're okay. I looked at a map and saw how close you were to some of the fires and I was more worried than ever.

I try to be Neriah...sometimes I get an overriding urge to throttle some fool but I tell myself its not worth it....
I know some people are caught up in the whirlpool of life and need a reality check but hey we all share this planet...
