Funny you should mention that! Was thinking about it in the shower this Am and i've already mentally formulated an outline that should stay well within the guidelines....
I will wait to post mine then, I imagine yours will be better.
:)

Do like I did. get an Electric bike. I Love my e-bike. It has replaced the car for most things. Does 25 miles per hour with 48 volt lithium ion battery on a 750 watt hub motor for a range of 20 miles. It gets me around town and is fun as heck. I beat cars lots of times due to traffic and not having to worry about staying on a main street. Needs no drivers license or insurance for it. It's classed as a bicycle so I can go places both cars and motorbikes cannot go.
I'd love to get an electric bike, but in San Diego, it really isn't practical.
But in New Orleans? Definitely!!

I love New Orleans by the way.
:)

Almost one o'clock in the afternoon over here. Today my mother is visiting me and she of course brings along her new boyfriend. Oh, and the dog. Oh, and asparagus.
Does asparagus make your pee stink?
It does mine.

I am on Indian land
Just wanted to say thanks for the collective Good Deed you all have done!

In one of my first blogrants here, I linked to JohnPhoenix's original thread, mentioned being puzzled by the curious notion of opposition to e-cigarettes in a smoking cessation support group, and proceeded to bleat on about belief-based this and facts-n'-reason that, blah blah.

In my Coleridgean fugue, I didn't notice that I'd effectively answered my own puzzlement in the same sentence I'd expressed it! :)

In yet another testimony to what a remarkable place this is, and how awesome you all are, a situation that could have had any number of inauspicious outcomes will now result in more people being helped to find a support group that will be a good fit for their particular selves and circumstances.

Bonus - People there who may not have known that e-cigarettes come in so many different strengths that those who want to be nicotine-free can now use this new technology to taper down to zero much more efficiently than they ever could with gum or patches, then stay nicotine free with 23 bazillion flavors of 0-nicotine e-cigarettes, now have mobetta access to that information!

Major props and life-sized plush jungle animals for Everyone!

uhh dont know if I like that...I generally run from people bearing asparagus...

Who knew... all these years he was battling mutant fire ants and bad guys with push-pins and tic-tacs.. and Macguyver could've been defeated with asparagus. I bet all those drug lords, gun runners, and kidnappers feel silly now.

Nicotine is not the demon and most of us know this for a fact. Personally I cannot understand all the bs about "junkie thinking, junkie thinking" I just can't compare using nicotine to being addicted to drugs which cause a change in behavior unlike nicotine for the masses. I find it to be hysterical and fear mongering of the basest sort.

I agree in general, absolutely.. it's FUD and theatre for the most part. But it does effect some people in ways most of us never can relate to. I think we're seeing and hearing from a minority that has experienced that. Throw in overwhelmed board management and you have the makings of an alley gunfight.

I love asparagus grilled with a little sesame oil it's delicious! As are bananas RichardLOZ! Maybe those are good grilled too but if so I haven't tried one!

Try plantains..... nice ripe plantains cut it lengthwise it two haves with the skins still on. Brush some butter on the exposed fleshy fruit, sprinkle a light pattern of brown sugar, and a very mild spice if you like. Throw it on the grill fleshy side up for four to five minutes until the skin starts peeling off itself.

Leeks are worth trying on the grill too if you have the patience for them.

I am still waiting for someone to ask me about it (besides airport security...LOL) I have had a few very strange looks, but besiade a couple of people in the office no one as asked me about it at all :(

You must look quite innocent then. I bloody well get asked everywhere either by people who think I've got some covert ......... smoking going on or by people who are wondering what sort of futuristic weapon I have.

I will wait to post mine then, I imagine yours will be better. :)

I can't find her original post but she does have a certain strategy about her. Like she'd dominate in Monopoly too. I've developed quite the rant-crush on Kristen and John since following this thread.

Does asparagus make your pee stink?

I had ~thought~ this thread couldn't get much more varied. We covered guns, fruits, desert, BBQ, politics, pets, clothes, haircuts, and even cannibalism. And now we've gone into the third tier of off-topics. *shakes head* -Magnus

Kristin I think it's Time you Joined EA... if you're thinking about ECF or a related forum in the shower you have a problem. ;)

It never stops. My CASAA work can be all-consuming at times, much to my husband's chagrin. ECF and QSMB is just an extention of getting the word out and educating the public about smokeless alternatives! :)

I forgot you were in the Netherlands. One of my best friends lived in Anna Paulowna for over a decade. She met a Dutch bike racer here in Wisconsin (she was a volunteer with a group that found housing for teams when they were here for races and his team stayed with her and her roommates), they got married in Holland and she moved with him to his home town. Bertus is a really good guy, but the marriage unfortunately ended recently. She got really fluent in Dutch, though! So, I kind of have a soft spot for the Dutch! :)

You just reminded me of that Seinfeld episode I first saw in my native tongue about 'Jimmy' who always refers to himself in the third-person. Not that you're a tool like that guy was but it was funny. -Magnus

Ya know.. You should write a Big E-cig Book. There are books for all sorts of fads, diets, medical junk, hobbies - but I have yet to see an e-cig book. You can do it. It could be a NY Times Best Seller. You could rack in tons of cash. You could educate the masses. You could helps millions of people switch to e-cigs. You could get talked about on Oprah's book club and lastly, you could post the cute picture on the back cover and make your hubby squirm from all the marriage proposals you'd get. LOL It would be Great for CASAA's publicity.

Yeah.. if anyone wrote a serious book for e-cigs I think you could pull it off best.

OMG... last time I saw this thread it was page 141. Took me a couple hours to catch all the way up.

Gotta admit, I like the progress and the common ground being made on both sides of the fence.

I also have to admit, I strayed from my normal 0mg and 8mg juice this past week. I did have 2 puffs off a cig at class on Wednesday, just to gauge. Nope, don't want it, not going back. I also did some sample/review stuff on some high test stuff, not a big fan of high nicotine content either, just not my thing. I'll stick with my 0mg or ultra low-grade juice. I don't miss cigarettes or high nicotine content juice, nor do I crave it. I do have a manual habit, that's being addressed with my current 0mg mixed sometimes with my 8mg juice.

Morning -lol-! Nice to see you up and about this Saturday morning.

-lol- in this thread!!! I feel a little giddy!

What she said... :)

Maybe we should start referring to e-cigs as hookah doodles and wireless versions on the QSMB. Perhaps it will meet with less resistance if there is no association "by name" to an analog.
