The gall of that woman. To come into the thread and bring up e-cigarettes (just to disrupt it) and then tell me I could only post in the e-cigarette forum - when I never once mentioned them! UGH!!

I suspect some posts DO just get deleted, too. The first time any of "us" said the word "e-cigarette" in that thread was in an apparant response to "Brad," but I didn't see a post by Brad anywhere in the thread.

Sounded appropriate and polite as possible under the circumstances, to me.

I am really starting to think its not very addictive when sperated from other substances in tobacco.

Im starting to wonder. I mean I've always been told it was (see Kristins post about the movie) but I'm kinda beginning to wonder. If I find out its not I'm not going to be quiet about it .. but no one will believe me LOL

She seems to delight in picking fights, and then to play little miss innocent and point out how mean and insensitive the e-cig people are.

Shannon (I believe it was you talking about organic food),

I'm all for eating healthily, but organic doesn't necessarily equal healthy/healthier. It is fantastic for making your checkbook lighter though... :)

Well I just want to freshen my system so to speak....but I was also considering just shifting the veggie/meat ratio around here. Honestly I could give up most if not all meat at one time I wouldn't have said that but I just don't care that much about meat now.

Behind you
I'm taking a break from QSMB for a little bit right now and checking in at my couponing forum instead! Get my heart racing for good deals instead of a good deal of PIA! LOL

A friend of mine, Skullaria on Twitter, is a huge coupon fanatic. She pings me about technical questions on setting up her PC(s) and multi-heads to enter more contests, coupon, barter, etc. I keep reading her timeline because it's just a bizarre competitive landscape.

If you show a quarter as much grit in couponing as you do ~here~ then I suspect you save enough to choke a dozen donkeys. -Magnus

So true!

I was looking for organic chicken (I don't eat beef or pork) and the only natural food store in town only had a whole frozen one for something like $30!!

But I use turkey as a beef/pork substitute in my non-chicken recipes and you can often get a 1lb chub of Jenni-O ground turkey for only $1.79 at WalMart. It's not organic, but it's leaner than the cheap hamburger!

Well, I'm not competitive at all (unless you consider the competition with the store to get the best deal out of them) but I am determined. I scout the forum for matchups (matching coupons to sales at your store), clip and download and use an Excel spreadsheet to keep them organized and make out shopping lists broken into specific transactions to get the most out of double coupon days! :D

I just started really doing it full force a little over a month ago, but I've already reduced my grocery and household supply bills by at least 50% and some trips I got 68% off retail! (And yes - it's still cheaper than generic and store brands, because a name brand isn't a deal to a couponer unless you can get it significantly cheaper than the genreic/store brand versions!)

Yes, that is how he first explains it in the book.. that's something people can understand.. later on he gets into the enzymes and how they relate to this picture.

That's a bit of an over-simplification, no? Enzymes do all the "heavy lifting" when it comes down to digestion.

Proteins: Proteases
Fats: Lipases
Carbs: Carbohydrases

Unless you have a paralyzed digestive tract it's unlikely food would actually "rot". Usually what happens in the case of gas is your body doesn't produce enough of a necessary enzyme in order to break down a food. When that happens, the bacteria in your digestive tract begin to work on the food resulting in the gas and bloating you mentioned.

Don't do that! It's really just one or two people now. Kill 'em with kindness and they'll only make themselves look bad if they keep attacking us. I just don't deal well with confrontation and people being mean to me, so it got my blood pressure up, lol!

I'm going to bow out of this thread...

I wish you guys all the best over at QSMB. I haven't been there in a while, but I can feel by BP rising just reading the comments here about some of the posts over there. I'm sure I'll see you guys around the forum.

Good luck!

Got you... I took an interest in stuff like that because I'm lactose intolerant now. I used to drink milk like it was going out of style, but once I moved out on my own I stopped buying it because I couldn't go through it fast enough before it spoiled. I love ice cream and cheese (who doesn't?), and I take a lactase supplement when I choose to partake of them. I can't stand the smell of straight milk anymore. Just thinking about it makes my stomach turn.
