You know, you all aren't at all some nasty bunch that was my first initial impression.

A little understanding and give and take made things better.

Everything just got off on a bad foot between boards.

After reading some of Big Chief's posts here I think he is nice, kind and cuddly big chief.

And no I ain't sucking up.

Yea according to hitchhikers guide we're mostly harmless...lol:p

-music for any here that listen to metal the Metallica is a given...as well should be Maiden....Eddie Lives!!!

So true. What amazes me with Maiden is the damn bass playing. Steve Harris is a freak when it comes to playing. If I did nothing but play for the next 20 years I would not be able to play like he does, absolutely amazing. Mark King from Level 42 comes in second for playing, albeit a totally different style :)

Im not getting into the country folks..But chiefy loves a little "twang twang" too...
Id say 70% rock, metal, hiphop...20% country, 5% rap for giggles, and 5% love song for when Im feelin sappy. :p
And how could I forget metallica...shame chiefy, shame.

That's what I'm talkin about! Add a little Men At Work, a little Mellencamp, Steve Miller Band, Billy Joel, of course American Pie... and a small eclectic mix that's pretty close but lower country to 10% raise love songs to 10%, and add 5% folk preferably Irish.

Chiefy just got turned into a teddy bear. :w00t:

Genesis and Floyd are tops on my list. I don't have time or the inclination to bore you all with everything I listen to. :)

Not saying I'm "well read" in a musically snooty way, I'm just lazy, and listen to anything "good". :)

I *will* say that NONE of what I want to listen to is heard on commercial radio (as much as I would like). Pink Floyd every single day is lame when half of the time it is "Another brick....".

Thank GOODNESS for iPods.
You know its eclectic when Genesis, and Floyd make the same list.

You should see some of us in the PIF section :)

It's like a big kumbaya, all the time ;)

That is completely true you must be careful because when going to PIF you're very real danger of Oding on niceness. ;)

My outline is getting pretty long and turning into a project - I may have to break it down into a few articles or chapters. So it's going to take me a while. So, if you want to post your's, go right ahead. :)

Kristin, are you still planning to write something up for how to stop smoking using an electronic cigarette?

If not, no problem since I can still go with mine.
Just let me know.
:)

I got my clear Fluxo thing-a-ma-bobs today... I'm unimpressed. I got them @ 3.2 ohm so I could use them with my 5v box mod, but they burn the two juices I tried. At 3.7v, no burn, almost non-existent flavor, very low vapor, which is to be expected...

Sorry to hear that, Nate. :(

I use the 2.6-2.8 at 3.7V, so yeah, I wouldn't expect the 3.2s to work well at that voltage.Never used a 5V mod, so no idea what value you'd want for that.

Is your mod adjustable?

Who still listens to the radio??? :)

I usually listen to my music via a variety of headphones depending on genre. In the car, I don't think I've ever used the radio function of my tuner. I mean, what's the point? It sounds like trash even compared to FLAC or MP3. I have my entire music collection archived in FLAC at home and work (gotta have backups!). I use MP3/FLAC in my car and at work because it's just not practical to carry a record player everywhere I go.

I'll stop here because I don't want to go on a rant about how poorly music is mixed now. Dynamic range is dead; everything has to be LOUD.

EDIT: I'd parrot the comment about iPods except they don't make one that would allow me to keep all of my music on it at the same time... I want a 1TB iPod...

Right there with you.... got 1.5TB drive @ home with the FLACs, and a "mobile" copy that's down to 500GB @ 256k Mp3. Other than ripping newer stuff, I have little use for music CDs anymore. Still saving up for a new Rega tonearm (the one I want costs more than my vaping x 3) <sigh>....
