Sorry, but what is an OT or PT person?

Some of the clients were thinking of picking some up?
Or some of the therapists were thinking of picking some up for them?
Or some of the therapists were thinking of putting together a stock of supplies for use on premises?

Staff getting them at a gas station/corner store thing for a couple of residents.

No one knows how to use them or what would be a good move.

Is there a place that discusses the handicapped using these or people teaching someone to do it?

I guess the best options for someone with some limitations.

Or am I asking in the wrong place?

Meh buncha pansies...rofl does she make ya carry a man purse too... like I have room to talk...I don't leave the house...much...she does shopping and half the time gets my modding supplies...Had a couple incidents of people being rude and me getting really nasty...( I don't suffer fools gladly If I am there to shop and an employee is rude I will give them a rather large LOUD piece of my mind and then leave...usually just before security gets there)

You let your wife tell you what you can and can't do?

Not always. Here's a funny thing while we're talking of food... I consider myself a bit of a cook/gourmet. But there's one thing I love that's so "un-gourmet" that I'm almost ashamed to speak of it.

I doubt any US readers will have heard of it, but it is a steak and kidney pie that comes in a can, made by a company called Fray Bentos. They are weirdly delicious, and have something of a cult following on the net. My wife cannot stand the smell, absolutely LOATHES it, but I just have to eat one sometimes so we figured out a compromise, she has a really strong and smelly Prawn Madras Curry (which I don't like) to cover the smell of my pie and we're both happy as pigs. :)

No wonder we've been married 31 years, compromise is key :)

Cheers

Without question the right choice would be a two-piece "cartomizer" model.

The best ones out there right now are probably the Bloog MaxxFusion and the Volt.
The Volt is cheaper from what I understand.

Nothing in particular that I'm aware of.
But there isn't much to those models except screwing on a new cartomizer as needed.

Then there is also learning the proper technique for inhaling an electronic cigarette.
But that is true from any electronic cigarette regardless of model.

The draw should be slow and steady, not sharp and quick like a cigarette.
Drawing too sharply doesn't give the juice enough chance to get vaporized properly.

Electronic cigarettes require replacement parts, would staff be getting those too?
If so, perhaps they would like to try and arrange a bulk order?

As for the corner store, that really depends on exactly what is available there.

Chances are, they probably aren't good units, but they might be okay.
We'd have to know what they are though, to be able to offer any advice on that.

Generally speaking though, it is not recommended.

Could she be the lol incognito?:sneaky:

I don't dare. I'm not sure I would be unfailingly polite. That's why I put the Good Deed Need Alert for the disturbing message person instead of going over there and getting him or her myself.

...Anyone an OT or PT person who vapes?...

I'm not in either of those professions, but my first blogrants (before the Good Deed Scrap Text Tangent) are all about tips and tricks for the aged and infirm, halt, lame, and heavily sedated.

I tell them to go get a KR808d-1 because I can operate it successfully, and you can connect the electric hookah-doodle and the cartridges with low vision (and I also tested it with no vision, and you can, but you'd need Braille labels for the cartomizers).

<---- Enjoying some White Stilton w/ Apricot.....

@Neriah, I know there are many people partially disabled on ECF... but nothing specific for them. Perhaps just the General section would get you a lot of feedback. -Magnus

The Stilton with apricots sounds fabulous, even to a hard cheese lover. I wish I had a taste of it.

The advice to Neriah is good too. I think folks would be glad to help out with advice.

Cheers (I nearly typed cheese, I think I'm obsessing :))

... but nothing specific for them

There's not, that's why I started the blog.

There are some Infostickies and a few msgs stuffed down there on the bottom shelf of the Health closet, and when they get Social Groups back working again, some people and I have been muttering vague threats about starting a Diabetes one.

What I'm hoping is that as more people find the blog they'll add to it.

Oh! there was a thread from a person about filling cartomizers, who ended up using play-doh to hold them steady and I didn't have any of that but I had some stale bread and it worked just fine.

The wealthy impaired might prefer using foie gras, it would probably be as good as play-doh.

I just dropped mine into a shallow glass of liquid, fished it out with a spoon after a few seconds, blew it out, wiped the surface. I wasn't steady-handed enough early on in my recover to do any dripping with either hand. And the syringe always ended up tearing things to pieces for me. That only works w/ the filler types though. -Magnus

I read that just as I was taking a swig of soda...

I had some foie gras once. I really enjoyed the taste, but not so much the texture. I think texture is just as important as flavor. A foie gras eJuice might be nice. I would try it.

I have to go to clean my monitors now.

That's a great idea for once people know what juice they like enough to get a big jug of!

Im going to put it in the Intermediate Class rant! I've been working on it, but I'm still resting from the ones last week!

I guess I was spacing out the first time I read your post. I had no idea why would just drop cartos into a glass of liquid. Never crossed my mind that the liquid was eJuice... Duh!

My reading comprehension is in the crapper. I'll be going now...

 Now that was my monitor's turn for a narrow escape! Luckly I had just set my coffee down!

Lots of people with impairments have gotten really good at dropping things into random glasses of nearby liquid.

All that practice pays off!

Speaking of which... Where's the best place to get batteries. Thinking specifically of 14500 and 18650, but 18500 would be OK too.

Super T without a doubt.... the 14500s are out industry-wide but they'll be back in soon. Order there and post your order number to their Battery/Charger thread for a chance to win good good stuff. This week a SS P16!! David ships quickly and the prices are solid. If you're in for drip-tips I like their's too. -Magnus
