Maybe repost it in it's own thread in the e-cig section?

I've done that now, except I've put it in the main forum, not the e-cig forum.

On reflection, I don't see why it has to go there, neither my post nor the paper I commend contain any specific reference to e-cigs, just to "innovative medicinal nicotine substitutes for cigarettes." I honestly don't see anything wrong with that.

(I even removed my normal sig block as it does mention e-cigs, same as on here.)

I wonder how many will actually read the study, not many I bet. It has some rather long words in it and very few smilies.

Best damn thing I ever read though, you have to keep trying.

Cheers

Yippee!!! My husband just agreed to give e-cigs a try.

:rickroll:

So now to do some research and find a tobacco juice he'll like well enough to stick with it. :vapor:

Oh yeah, and an e-cig cause something tells me he isn't going to like my 808s.

Does he have any specific flavor (non-tobacco) and/or tobacco flavor he likes or wants to try?

Grrr, I am mad. I don't understand. I didn't chew gum, or use a patch or quit cold turkey because it is not for me. I used Champix because it worked for me but I NEVER brought the wrath of satan on a patch user because it isn't what I would do.

I don't know if you all can read my post there but thank you - thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me an option to give my mom. She has decided to try e-cigs and I have no idea if what she is going to get is good or not good or whatever but she is not going to be putting a filthy f'ing cigarette in her mouth anymore and if that gives me, my brother, sister and 16 grandkids some extra f'ing time then I could care less how anyone on any board thinks. This is real life for me, not a flipping internet board and I am grateful that I had an option that my mom would even consider.

If I could pm someone my mom's email address - maybe Kat since she is Canadian that would be great. She does not "do" the internet but will use email. Maybe you can show her the right direction to take.

And thanks from 19 people who have been trying to get our mom/grandma to quit forever.

He's clueless right now, so he's counting on me to hook him up. PAD Marlboro Reds smoker of 45+ years. I got some BWB BacKo and Hunters Blend both in 24mg. I'm about to pull the trigger on VR Cherrywood, Kentucky and Maplewood Blends. I've got some 24mg TV Peach he might like. I've also got some VR on the way for me already, some at 20mg, that he might go for (Blueberry and Caramelized Cappuccino specifically). I don't see him liking overly sweet juice. I'm tempted to get one or two 36mg just in case 24mg doesn't cut it. Even though he's only PAD I don't see him chain vaping like I do, which is why I tend to go lower with my own juice.

If anyone has any suggestions beyond these, I'm all ears. I'd like to do as much as I can to see if this will be a success for him. He only ever tried once before to quit (using Chantix) and that was a complete failure. He's open to it though, he just doesn't want to go through the nic cravings (nor do I, he can be a bear when he's craving nicotine :) ). He used to joke with his doctors that if they would give him a script for demerol to get him through the first few weeks he'd quit in a heartbeat.

I'm still around but I haven't been on a lot because Ive been super busy with work and family stuff.

What happened to Kristin? I saw a post from John in the modder's thread today, but Kristin's disappearance has me perplexed.

EDIT: Fixed Kristin's name. I spelled it right the first time...

Anyone care to give me a quick rundown on what I've missed? I honestly don't have the luxury of going through the hundreds of posts (skipping computer programming and DIY stuff, lol) to see what else was happening! ;)

KRISTIN! I hope whatever life and family events keep you preoccupied are very fruitful and going smoothly.

Recap: Lots of geek speak, some REALLY bad juice talk, more food talk, some "failures to communicate", a few strange implied threats of physical harm against Cigarbabe, ..

And then through the whole-thing is the same underlying current of misinformation coming from a select few QMSB veterans. And lots of trolling over there.

Upsides include a few new e-cigarette converts from Sallie, Beth, and others. More upsides for Orly and his quest.

Some discussions about spreading the word in our communities as it relates to the ECF business card and the CASAA pamphlet.

Hrmm. I think that's it since you *poof*ed .. OH! And lots of webcams of Australian views. -Magnus

EDIT: BTW, if you've got good energy to send... Randy is coming to epic closeness in closing in on employment. Prayers or vibes for him would be good too.
