Well, I got a bit of flack for it, but I really don't give a hoot about her age.

SS summed it up nicely, if you'll lie about anything, you'll lie about anything.

I looked for that other post, but I couldn't find it. I didn't want to point that out if I couldn't back it up.

ETA: It was 105 here today at one point. :p

No, I don't care about her age either, whichever number you pick she's still younger than me! It's the lying that is the point. (I found the other post with an advanced search for poster=evelyn and the keyword "girls" as I remembered that she had said she'd been out with the girls. It's in the segregation thread, she really rants. If she's not drunk then she's in need of help.)

Cheers, and sorry it's still so darn hot there. It's even making the news in AU to some extent.

Behind you
I almost want to like this post.

I didn't realize that could be taken any other way. Let me clarify.

You can be any age between drinking age and thirty and it'd be accurate. Fifty one, not so much. Even if I GIMPed your hair. Not that I'm GIMPing images of you. Awww.. never mind. *shovel shovel shovel* -Magnus

LOL! Hiya lolady!! Really so very nice to meet you! :D

Kristin - the ArtBoxz - very cool - is that you? I had to put that on my list - for when my budget catches up with me!!

That's me! :)

@ lolady - thanks for the laugh!

Nothing to do with any off that.

I was just saying Wisconsin because people make fun of Wisconsin when they are from Minnesota.

The tease your next neighbor thing.

Make fun of the Dakotas or Iowa instead! LOL! We just pick on Illinois - mostly for their driving, lol!

If they post about a bad reaction or an illness, it's written off as a side effect of quitting analogs or because they smoked X packs a day for 20+ years.

To be fair - 99% of the time that's all it turns out to be. I don't think people "write it off" so much as suggest that is what it could be. When they do that, they are chided by the worrywarts for not taking it seriously enough or wearing blinders/rose colored glasses. Honestly, I have yet to see a serious adverse side effect and the mild side effects, while sometimes alarming, are usually just that - PG allergy, too high nicotine, mild dehydration or quitting smoking side effects that subside rather quickly. I have yet to see one person come back with a report that their doctor linked severe symptoms to vaping.

I don't try to write it off, but when I've made suggestions of what it could be (based on 2 years of reading ECF and based on e-cigarette user surveys) I've been attacked for having an "agenda" to keep negative symptoms quiet. That is ridiculous when you consider that I'm on the board of CASAA (CONSUMER ADVOCATES) - the last thing we want to do is be like the antis and hide the truth from smokers. It goes against our very mission statement. If something serious was ever even remotely linked by a physician, as soon as we heard it we'd verify it and report it as a known issue to our members!

+1. The scariest 4 days I ever experienced involved driving in and around Chicago.

You obviously haven't driven I-15 in Utah during "construction season." Holy hell those big rigs (3 trailers long) act like own the road... Umm... I guess they do.

Quick Sapphire update: I disassembled my burned one and found that the very tip looked blackened. I trimmed it, pushed it down a bit to make contact with the coil (there was excess sticking out of the top), and it's working like new again.

These things are very easy to service, far easier than an Ego-T. The coil is big!

Awhile back Fred told me that we could do some sort of sticky thing, so I wanted to pick a few threads that would be helpful to people that are looking into using an electronic cigarette that we could put up at the top of the forum so they don't get buried over time.

So I've identified a few threads I think would be good, and wanted to get ideas from any of you that have any input...

Buying an ecig
Why do I need help with an electronic cigarette?
Are electronic cigarettes safe? Are they effective?

Thoughts?

EDIT: And yes, I know I wrote two of those
EDIT: What can I say, I'm biased
EDIT: :)

There might be one or two of Kristins that would be good I'd have to go back through them. Phonedude's journey off nicotine one would be another good one. And there's one from way back at the beginning where one of the Q members was asking poilte questions and getting polite answers...have to hve a look and see which one.

Best thing to do with that is leave it alone. Whatever gets said will get twisted, like we're trying to hide the truth.

The best thing would be for the mod to mod. He should at the very least have been warned to stay out of the ecig section by now fair is fair.

I spend far too much time reading OUTSIDE! threads, but I rarely participate. I have no need to. Just as I get ready to respond, Magnus has already said what I was thinking and more eloquently at that. Just finished the voter ID thread.

I stay in here where its safe.

So true Nate, and I tend to do the opposite. All reports of adverse health effects I weigh very carefully. I do visit the health section. It can be a scary place, but that's because it's hard to sift through what's real, what's normal and isn't a concern, like dry mouth, and what may be nothing more than a case of hypochondria. It disturbs me when these things are dismissed out of hand, I think we all need to give all reports careful consideration. Until years have gone by and there is definitive evidence one way or another, we need to be responsible and draw our own conclusions about these reports. On the other hand, I think when someone says I quit smoking using an e-cig and now I'm coughing up a lung, we also need to step in and point out all the possible reasons and suggest a visit to a doctor is in order.

My suggestion that Electricman is a troll is not based on post count alone. It's based on where those posts are and where they aren't and the fact that, so far, he hasn't admitted any personal experience with electronic cigarettes. At least not that I'm aware of. If he has, I apologize and it would make his current activity more understandable. Although, posting about potential nicotine poisoning in the e-cig forum and not on the main board, posting about the disposal of e-cigs and batteries, or the potential for batteries to explode also pushes my opinion in the troll direction.

I would lay money on him being an old timer with a new profile. That's just too coincidental a new member showing up on a crusade against ecigs? Why not go to an ecig forum? Not all of them take the same precautions against trolls ECF does.

Hands down, worst driving in the US, Connecticut....

Close 2nd, M@ssh0l3s in MA....

Third, South Florida.......... where driving by braille is an actual Driver's License notation. -Magnus

Haven't driven in Mississippi and Alabama too much have you? Horrible driving.
