We could fit the whole of the QSMB into the nook between the ....-cheeks of one thread in the OUTSIDE!
2) It would still be about people who want to look at the e-cig, I'm hardly suggesting we pull in all NRTs, cold turkey, etc. People would look and only stay if they were interested in what they saw.
3) I'll ask.
I'm less worried about the requirements of building and maintaining a site than not having the right people at said site because I've divided ~their~ time and resources.

ECF has received complaints that our members have been causing problems on another forum, QSMB. This is strictly against our rules - see Rule 20.
This type of behavior will not be tolerated. ECF members need to be careful about what they do on other forums as it brings our name into disrepute and eventually leads to forum wars. Your actions have already started this process and WE WILL NOT TOLERATE IT.
If we receive any more complaints about ECF members then those members will be banned from ECF. No warnings, no excuses accepted.
Any post that I locate on QSMB from this point on that can be attributed to an ECF member and that I find offensive in any way to QSMB members will result in a ban here for that ECF member.
You may take this as your first and your final warning.

I don't know, I haven't been around this board too long. I also don't post heavily, but I tend to read a lot. You and Angus, along with the other mods are a big part of the reason I actually registered an account instead of just lurking forever. You all strike me as a fairly even handed bunch, and it keeps the forums pleasant. I've said it before, but I'll say it again, thanks for keeping this place a good place to hang out.
actually my headache was gone yesterday for the most part(thanks for asking) but I got worried when I ran into the odd message when I tried to PM CB...she is obviously not physically having any problems as she is posting on QSMB...
Glad you're feeling better Madman, and I'm beginning to get a bit worried for Cigar babe at this point. Just checked her profile and she hasn't posted on ECF in about two days now. Hope she didn't loose her temper on the other board without seeing Rolygate's post.
I get my VV Ego PT tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to trying my Sapphires on it at 3.7 and 4.2.

I've played just about every MMO out there at one time or another... I'm waiting for a new one that's due to launch later this year. WoW never managed to hold my interest for long, though.

Never tried EQ2, but funnily enough my first thought when I quit reading earlier was to fire up WoW and kill stuff, always been a bit therapeutic. Then I remembered my accounts been inactive for awhile, so I fired up World of Tanks and blew stufff up for a couple hours instead, works wonders for my mental state.
You ever play Eve much? I really don't have near enough time at the moment, and certainly can't justify the cost for a 'serious' MMO, but Eve is the one I often find myself tempted to pick back up.
Though WoW would probably be the more likely option, I can play it mostly solo, entirely on my own schedule, and enjoy myself without getting caught up in competitive raiding or anything else that forces a schedule. That and my niece plays a bit, so there is someone else there to run around with.
Alright, the contest will go forward in August but any intentional SEO targeting for "quit smoking" and "quit smoking forums" (among the rest of the ~27 or so long list) will not. The scope will change a bit but I'm still working that out. -Magnus

I don't think anything Rolygate or OldSoldier said was anti SEO, just anti going over to other message boards and being combative. <-- really stumped as to how to put that right, trolling doesn't describe what I've seen over there from ecf people, nor does being disruptive, combative comes closest, though as Big Chief would probably be happy to point out it was mostly responding in kind. I guess what I took from it was don't go to other forums, and be involved in problems on those forums that could reflect badly on ecf, or attract unwanted trolls to ecf.
I wish they had aid something regarding an SEO campaign. I'm completely with you on it being desirable that people googling for information to quit smoking should be able to find this place. Yeah, obviously the purely anti nicotine crowd probably wouldn't hang out for very long, but a lot of people would find the help, and support they were looking for here.
I guess for me at this point it's a wait and see what happens. I never posted over there to begin with, so no change there. The thought of a nice SEO campaign appeals to me, but while I would be glad to help out a bit I don't even begin to have the time to spearhead one at the moment, much less do it on my own. Time unfortunately is looking to get more scarce for the next few months as well, so it's not like I can say, "no time now but I'll look into it in a few weeks".
